  • Then you are fortunate. Your description says your "new tank" and it was added 3 years ago, so it looked like your tang was not that old. For more info about where yellow tangs come from check out "tropical fish dump prompts outrage" I've seen fish collectors with my own eyes and they walk over coral, killing it. Fish removed from the reef can no longer reproduce themselves, or clean the reef of algae, causing coral reefs to smother.

  • Not cool. Coral reefs are being decimated by fish collecting for aquariums!

Do some research on where these live rocks come from. And yellow tangs live 5-7 years in a tank, yet they live 40 years on the reef.

  • @forthefishes my yellow tang is about 11 yo now and still looking healthy

  • Great job on your first setup...keep you head focused and read as much as you can on this hobby, remember to always test don't guess and, be very patient that is key to this hobby. Oh, the yellow tang...great choice its a hardy fish!

  • you shouldnt get a tang for a new tank! they are too finicky and they will just die, you should start with damsels, clowns, blennys, or even some chromis

  • you should stack more rock nce tnk :)

  • nice tank and all but buubles aren't good for a salt water tank so try to get rid of or stop that thing that blows bubbles, some people mat think they arent but they can get in the fisshes gills and could do harm or if you have a sponge in your tank, and the buubles go in spong it will kill it becuase once a little air gets in it it will clog up the things that let it feed and filter the water and then it will die

  • I noticed you put the tank where the sunlight gets to it. Dont do that. its bad lol

  • how many gallons?

  • very nice. how much did you pay for your yellow tang, and are the clowns false percula or true percula...thanks

  • veryy veryy nice i must say

  • very nice tank, 4/5 YOuve got another subscriber!

  • Where did you get that tank? It is NICE

  • how do you like your skimmer? I have the same one and i HATE it!! cute clowns!!

  • beutiful! im subscribing!

  • It sorta looks like my 46 gallon but i think that your tank is bigger. I have to wait till the 27th for the fish to get put in!

  • nice tanks but i have to say that i would add more live rock to the top cause it looks so empty

  • ur tank is awsome have u got any ideas for me 2 set up 1

  • I have the same tank, keep two clowns, royal gramma, two damsels, neon goby, dwarf angel, and a banggai cardinal. Marine tanks are great!

  • Just some advice you might want to adjust youre skimmer a little bit so it makes less bubbles. it dosent hurt anything, but it makes a better view without them.

  • Guys, i am just starting on a small marine tank. Would anyone be able to tell me if i should get a Royal gramma and Azure Damsel? Are these good starter fish? thanx

  • yes but clown fish are my favorite because the are not also the royal gramma are good too

the dasmels are the easyist but they are aggresive

  • yes, i have a royal gramma and yellow tail damsel and they chase eachother around the tank taking turns every once in a while...i like the gramma better:D

  • oh yeah i forgot to tell you my tanks a jewel trigon 190

  • i want to keep a yellow tang in my 50 gallon aquarium will it be okay because someone kept a regal tang (dory) in the same size tank can someone reply if they find out if you can keep a yellow tang if anyone does please reply

  • i wouldn't. 75 gallons or bigger is recommended.

  • nice tank u just need some corals if ur into that

  • nice tank and cool clowns, their babies! how many gallons is it? And no oplkg22, i have had my tank 4 lyk 3 days and its fine, all u have to do is do lyk a 5g water change 1nc a month and mine is 75g and i do that.

  • add some more LR, the tang needs it to peck at

  • that is a nice tank and nice set up too....is it hard to set up and maintain a saltwater tank i hear it is???

  • no not to bad

  • nice tank. but why dont you have hardly any live rock?

  • it isn't cheap

  • you could always get some base rock, or dead rock that you can seed with your live rock

  • Gorgeous tank is it the juwel vision series?

  • Where did you get your clown fish? because over here there like almost $100

  • jeez dude, where is "over here"

  • i like your tank! its very simple, but Stunning! :D and your fish are cute too!!!!!!

  • looks good. come see my tank on a site called reefbuzz.

  • Nice!!!!!!

  • add more fish in.

  • loooks good and judjing by the color I would say you are using actinics?

  • Take that background off. It's distracting to what's actually in the tank.

  • Do have lobsters? Do you have ballons? We eat that shit. we eat that shit.

  • That is one hot shit setup you got there.

  • cool :)

  • i think it looks really cool man, i love the lighting, nice job

  • I recall yrs ago with that 2 lb per gallon rule. My tank looked like a rock tank but putting thay aside slowly I went down to 1lb per gallon and the tank did great

  • Great looking tank . You dont need more live rock I disagree with gstpat. 1lb per gallon is enough . Otherwise you have lots dead spots and way less water. Not to mention less swim area for the fish

  • You are correct but according to his reply, he is 7lbs short of 1lb per gallon. I also said, it just looks like he needs more but I bet he can get away 39lbs.

  • too many bubbles!

  • its a 46 gallon and I have 39 lbs of live rock

  • Looks like you need more live rock. How big is the tank and how many lbs do you have?

  • Nice.
