  • why hit with your sticks so hard? it slows you down and outbalances the feet

  • anyone can be fast, but he is fast and clean

  • Wow, super inspiring.

(( Awesome in every way ))

  • I missed the 'creative' part...

  • @slavetothestix2 Black has some very impressive knowledge of different rudiments that he applies to metal, along with an ambidextrous style, great stamina, great showmanship tricks for live entertainment, I don't see many drummers that play like he does. Sounds pretty creative to me. Haters gonna hate.

  • I guess he never had hi-hat as a kid :)

  • @svante1991 It sure is. Any idea what snare it is?

  • I love how symmetrical his kit is!

  • Metal actually wouldn't exist without the double bass pedal. Or the idea to use two bass drums.

  • @halodemo65 im not trying to be an argumentative dick, but alot of original metal could be played with one bass pedal and the idea for two bass drums came from jazz. Definetly the more extreme genre's of metal that have emerged today couldnt be played without a double bass pedal, but in its roots, metal was more like heavy rock.

  • Is there some connection with Bernard Black and Black Books?

  • Double hi-hat 0_0

  • Ha, dread up this dudes hair and dye it all bright red. You'll get Pickles IRL.

  • This really isn't creative at all...he sounds just like every other metal drummer out there.

  • Wonderful drumming. Interesting syncopation and time changes.

  • Mapex + Sabian = Badass combination! :D

  • im not a metal fan. especially not a fan of metal drummers. i dont know if its because im a couple of months out of practice and havnt been watching so much drumming because of it or not but i liked everything i heard in this video

  • maybe this is what the metal community needs..some clean pocket drumming

  • This guy is crazy with double bass. Kyle Batty, Kyle Battty's Lesson Lounge.

  • check out derek roddy.. he's super fast but also very technical with timing n shit.. i prefer him over this dude.. but hey thats my opinion...

  • SENSACIONAL!! Randy is amazing!!

  • Very impresive.

  • @Synetik4 great comment

  • OK....THIS IS WACK AND THE SAME THING - IT'S ALL THE SAME - BUT IT'S BETTER THAN TRAVIS BARKER

  • Metal drummers rarely impress me... this is an exception.

  • @dwdrummer84 I think their are alot of talented metal drummers out there. Just not as popular or mainstream.

  • yeeah spikes :D

  • @Synetik4 for some generic metal drummers thats true. jason bittner is different though, as he takes all varying musical style from around the worlkd and incorporates them into his playing.

  • @Synetik4 There are actually hard metal songs(alot of them). The bands that are more popular have pretty basic drumming actually. I suppose you should check out Car Bomb, Spawn of Possession, Meshuggah, Animals as Leaders and bands like that out. And Benny Greb is a killer drummer as well, just that it's another genre of music than metal and should not be compared to metal drummers.

  • Cool clean drumming :).

  • ok, maybe it's not that special, but that fill at 1:59 was just killer!

  • pretty clean

  • not only does he have good skills, but his choice of gear (mapex, sabian, aquarian) is spot on as well!! :D :D :D

  • He can play fast, but because it's so clean and in time is what I like about listening to and watching Randy. A+!!!!!

  • Cool!!

  • wow - lotta critics... welcome to you tube, right?

  • Them theres a mans kit

  • Comment removed

  • I love the symmetry of this kit! Great Randy!
