I actually didn't use the sheets for this. I learned it by ear before I had the sheets. This is the result of that. I have since gotten her songbook (which you can buy on Amazon) and it has the Time sheets in it.

Thanks...I really like this arrangement too, actually better than the actual sheet music.

In response to your question, are you talking tempo or chords/notes? If you mean tempo, I'm playing arpeggios of the base chords with the left hand (slower than I play in the main verse, but the same chords). I do play it wrong though, based on the sheet music, the base chords should be slightly different.

OF COURSE I can...HAHAHA Chantal is my favourite artist...I'm slightly obsessed! *Laughs* I have her songbook and am currently in the process of learning a few songs (based on chord progressions) from it. I might sit down and learn the actual song as the sheet music has it too, but we'll see.

In This Life is one of the ones I'm learning, so possibly stay tuned...and unfortunately Julia isn't on there, but it's a good choice though! :)

Hi...Thanks....I truly appreciate the comments, but this in no way compares to Chantal herself!!!! Actually, I play it in the same key as she does. The left hand differs just a little bit (just 'cause, at the time I didn't know what accompanying chords she was playing), but the left hand should play something similar to what she does....well, as far as I know anyway! :P

I just got the piano sheet myself but it's nowhere near the way you play it. If I can ask one more question... for the treble, your right hand plays a "D" octave melody, right? So basically the order of the treble goes like this (high D)-D-A-D-G-D-F#... does that make sense?

Yes, I was referring to your intro! The original piano sheet just has individual notes... with no other accompanying melody like yours for the intro and it doesn't sound as "lively".

If I'm not mistaken, it actually does change in the song itself, but I just keep playing D-A-B-G and it sounds ok....for the bridge anyway. I hadn't made it to the verse myself. Once I learn the entire song, I'll repost! ;)

Well thank you...I took lessons for a while so I guess I can attribute it to that. As for this song, the left hand mostly just plays broken chords or arpeggios. Just keeping with the beat/time...But thanks though! Keep at it, it all falls together!

Unfortunately, I don't have anything to prop up my dingy webcam higher up with...I'm not that crafty...lol. I can tell you though that the way I play it, the left hand always plays D, A, B, G in progression and the right hand just plays slight variations of those chords to sound like the melody. I may be able to provide more insight soon 'cause the Chantal Songbook I ordered just arrived so I'll be picking it up soon. Time is one of the pieces in it...;)
