  • . . . - - - . . .

  • Every bad thing that happens to us in our lives happens for a reason...no matter how terrible it is, there is some reason behind it. Pain and suffering, loss and grief, misunderstanding, tragedies and disease, and disasters...they all are a part of life - albeit a terrible part. But there is always someone we can go to, someone who will wipe the tears away if we let them, someone who will tell us that it's okay...who will pick us back up when our world is falling apart.

  • This is beautiful. Shows how Christ wants an intimate relationship with us, not our religion. I love how God is awesome like that!

  • @Biggestmutemathfan Even though they may not call themselves a christian band, they can still make songs with christian messages. The same goes with Owl City. Not a christian band, but a lot of lyrics that have obvious references to christianity related things.

  • @Biggestmutemathfan lol this song is totally Christian there's no way you can sing this talking about someone else than God

  • @ConectateBand Yeah because God is exclusive to Christianity...

  • I listened to this song over and over again when my grandfather died.

  • It is a matter of defining "Christian" in the context of music. If you mean "Marketed and promoted by a Christian label, to be played on Christian radio, and aimed directly at the Christian demographic," then no, it is not "Christian Music." But the songwriter is a Christian, the band members are Christians, the song clearly expresses a Christian sentiment. So in that sense it is Christian. All this negativity illustrates why the band did not want their record company to promote them as CCM.

  • I'm pretty sure this song is DEFINITELY about God lol... but regardless if it is or not, it's still a good song...

  • most people who dont believe in God just have too large an ego. :)

  • I'll be using this as my wedding song next year. I am an adamant atheist, but it doesn't bother me that this song may actually be written from a Christian to God. I have personally found this same belief in another person, rather than a god. Religion may not be your thing, but I think it's better to focus your energy on finding that belief in someone or something else.

  • @wakeuptothelies Much respect to you, very few people people show respect to each others beliefs on YouTube, whether it be Christians, Atheists, and everyone else that finds it necessary to argue their beliefs on a video site. You totally got the idea of the song right, too. Congratulations on the marriage, this will be a good song for it! I'm glad that a song can mean so many different things to different types of people.

  • @wakeuptothelies Congradulations on your wedding! You are the first person I've seen on Youtube that respects beliefs - others and your own. It warms my heart to know that there are people out there that don't want to rip others apart for the sake of religion as a simple label.

  • *searching

  • What the crap do you haters care if God exists and if someone believes in him? Get off of the Christian music videos if you don't like them. I don't like people who ride motorcycles without helmets but you don't see me serching them out and posting sh*tty comments about them. It's ridiculous. Good grief.

  • i don't think I could ever repay Your perfect grace.. but it's OK ! ! !

  • are there any other versions without all the blank space at the end of the song?

  • this song is seriously comforting to the soul. honestly i just can HEAR Jesus tellin me, "its ok. its ok. i still love u" amazing

  • Who care's about "labels" only close minded i think. I think that this song is easy for Christians to relate to.

  • @Biggestmutemathfan why japan?

  • One person lives without love...Dumbledore says to pity them. :P

  • this is so calming at the mean time sounds likes jazzy slow rock lol

  • @Biggestmutemathfan

JAPAN?! what the? that's not fair! :( y not US?!! it'll be bought wayyy more! no wonder i don't c their cds ;((

  • I know that this song wasn't meant to be christian or religious, but you take what you will from the lyrics. If you want it to be, then it can be. It's all about how you look at life, but then again, isn't everything?

  • ooh the first thing i thought was

    wow so melty *melts*

  • i guess one person isn't ok! :o

  • @goodeyedear7

    LOL! :D so funnyyy!

  • I do see it as Christian in a way, which is one reason I like it. But it's not just the lyrics I like. These guys are bloody good musicians, and they should make whatever they want, because they'll sound awesome no matter what. :D

  • I agree. These are Christian lyrics. Doesn't really matter, but their faith definitely shines through into their music. I like it. :)

  • @theolivetree95 ...sheep

  • @TheJakedrums Sheep? Okay, buddy. You're entitled to your opinion, even if it is a sad, mistaken one.

  • Sorry Biggestmutemathfan: These lyrics ARE clearly Christian Lyrics!!!!!!

Down on my knees down on my face

    I don't think I could ever repay

    Your perfect grace,

You don't recall my past mistakes

Even though you've seen a thousand times

    I've let you down

You're always there if I should call your name

  • @nerdboogie Absolutely this a Christian song. Most all of their songs are in worship to God (Jesus). Only those who are born-again can perceive it though. The unsaved think they're just singing general songs which can apply to anyone, or anything, but the children of God know the truth. God bless you :)

  • @conqueringthruchrist FUCK YOU there is no god!

  • @TheJakedrums Well...good day to you too sir....lol. Lighten up there buddy :)

  • One of the greater songs life has had to offer

  • lyrics in More info, don't see them:P

But it's OK, I love this song, and I have heard it so many times that I can dream the lyrics:) MuteMath is the greatest band in history, if you ask me!

  • mutemath doesnt call itself a 'christain' band cause if they did they would most likely only attract ppl who are already christains and ppl who aren't would see the lable as a turnoff and it wouldn't affect them as easily. plus when you don't call it christan then you dont have to only write churchy songs. it just makes things easier for them

  • @USAmbassadorToFIFA Great point, I totally agree ;) I think this song is wonderful !

  • As far as whether or not the song is Christian, he does say "This human mind can't calculate..."

Unless he's talking about a dog or a robot or something, I would like to think this song is about God. That's just me, though.

  • A band that is entirely connected to who they are as people, who are musically sensitive, and poetically connected to the world around them. You can call it what you may but I'd say it has the all the inner workings of the greatest band on the planet.

  • Does it matter if they're christian or not? They make good music and if they are influenced by their religon or notit's all good :).

  • Yes it is. This song came right after Earthsuit broke up. This was back when Mutemath was strong in their lyrics and faith.

  • Love this song =)

    is it christian?

  • @Faboou3 It is clearly Christian. Listen to the lyrics. It is like God is saying, "It's OK." "You don't recall my past mistakes; you say it's OK." :)

  • @Faboou3 As to whether or not this song is about Christianity or God or anything else, I believe it depends on the listener; that's the beauty of music. It can mean one thing to one person and something completely different to another.

However, I for once have played this at church before, but still can see it being used in other realms. Beautiful song.

  • cool christian song

  • and dont take what I say personal, please, after all, its not about you...

  • You know, there is nothing wrong or un-Christian-like about not feeding money to a band if you feel mislead by what you thought they stood for. and not every apple is sweet my friend, but its still an apple (in reference to my Christian-likeness lol)...but an orange that tastes like an apple is a contradiction. I loved MuteMath because I thought they sang love songs to GOD, it was very refreshing, but now I dont listen to them. 4 me its not about how they sound, but what they say.

  • wow... I never heard of this band till now, and I must say, I think Im gonna be a fan very soon :) what a lovely song, so mellow <3

  • been listening to mutemath since their inception and i've loved every bit about each and every one of their songs.. simply wonderful!

  • Oh... I like this song...!

  • Possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever heard

  • I don't care if this isn't a "Christian Band" or if they didn't mean this to praise God. I use this as worship every single time I listen to. Just like Lifehouse's song Everything. They claimed that it was a "take it as it is" song. Either way. Everyone can agree that it's a beautiful song. I can't get enough of it..

  • @vinnay1231

This song was a God-send when I got dumped by my fiance over 2 years ago. I was listening to this song as I went to meet him for the last time as my sweetheart. I just threw myself at the feet of Christ when that happened and true to His Word He picked me up and restored me!

  • @jkh1920 woow praise God!!

  • alright. best song ever,. just saying (:

  • how did you get all these rare song i must have them please reply

  • @TheMoneyKing1991

A fairly rare album Reset EP which was released in 2004. According to Wikipedia, "The album went out of print in the US in 2006, but was re-released in the UK on July 23, 2007." I'm unsure as to if the songs are available for legal download from amazon or iTunes as I managed to obtain a CD copy of the album before I even knew it was such a rare disc to acquire. If it's unavailable legally I recommend eBay for finding a CD copy of it. Please don't steal it.

  • @ jddqd.

They are all practicing christians, but they would rather be known as a band and not a ministry. It's hard to make different sounding albums when you are known as a Christian band. It'd suck to get caught up in the genre.

  • Mute Math is a Christian Band They Love God Thats Awesome

  • Where are the lyrics?

  • I LOVE this song...and I love MUTEMATH, have met them on several occassions and they were really humble and kool...but for me, if u r Christian, especially nowadays...u should say so and definitely since it is clearly expressed in your music. If u don't , then its like u r denying the fact and thats not kool. MuteMath is not a Christian band because if u asked them they'd deny it. They cant have it both ways. Stop feeding them ur money

  • @younglion They're not, you're right. But there's nothing wrong with that. Switchfoot was criticized for their recent switches and moves, but you know what, they sound better than ever in my opinion. And since it's clearly expressed in their music, according to you, then why carry the label of 'Christian' band, then? As for your comment 'stop feeding them your money...' Well, not very Christian-like, is it?

  • @mkpaladin87 So, to be a Christian, is to throw money at every single person we see? Please, if you're going to mock a religion, be informed about the religion, before you post non-sense like this to make you look even more ignorant.

  • where can I buy this song?

  • @spasberryrice I purchaced mine off of Amazon, Youd have the buy the whole album. I think mine ran me about 20$... Mutemath Reset EP

  • @Biggestmutemathfan Worth every damn penny in my opinion, thank you for the upload man.

  • @spasberryrice or just go into itunes it shoudl be there

  • where can I buy this song?

  • There is no video - but the song is one of my favorites!

  • i don't get it.... are they christian rock or what?

  • @Tittytooty No no and No, They never were!

  • @Biggestmutemathfan actually i believe that Darren is christian much like thrice where the lead singer is christian and have a couple of songs like this one.

  • @Biggestmutemathfan but the message sounds like they are... few of the members r christian, even worked in a christian band...., but they r not christian band,, sounds confusing... What is he talking about when he says,.."i dont think i could repay ur perfect grace... you become my embrace..,you dont recall my past mistakes...this human mind can't calculate ur perfect grace.."..who is the 'you' they is talking about?

  • @jddqd Go to the Mutemath website and red the info on Pauls religious facts

And then Watch this (Type into youtube search - Mute Math Bonnaroo 2007 Interview) Im not saying that they arent Christian, Now i'm a die hard fan and ive done hours of research... but you can judge for yourself

  • @Tittytooty Doesn't really matter...just kick back, relax, and think about the lyrics and they mean to you.

  • @Tittytooty Doesn't really matter. Just kick back, relax, and think about the lyrics and what they mean to you...

  • @Tittytooty I don't have a yes or no answer for this but they could be like how Paramore is and Flyleaf and such. They sing secular music but they have band with christians or mostly christians and have they have songs like this.

  • Please message me, i would love to know where to get this song, i've been looking around everywhere and have not been able to find it. Thank you!

  • DUDE. I can't believe I hadn't heard this song before. It's by far their best, in my opinion. Thanks so much for it! :D

  • i cant find this song anywhere =[

  • @shadowlynx88 it's on the Reset EP, which you can get on Amazon, but it's a bit pricey because it's very rare (out of print except for Japan). It's worth it in my opinion tho, it has all of their best songs :)

  • this band never fails to amaze me :)

  • man I bought the album online but didnt get any of these bonus tracks. makes me want to buy the cd all over again!

my absolute favorite band. thanks for uploading!

  • Mine too! :)

  • ooooh. my. goodness. so i've been a mutemath lover (as in i'm obsessed and have to listen to at least 1 mutemath song every day) for about 3 years. and i had never ever heard this song or progress until now. it's gorgeous! i didn't think i could love the band anymore than i already did, but apparently i can. thanks so much for uploading this! (and for uploading peculiar people, i listen to that song alllll the time)

  • Yes it is Unexplainable, And ive been waiting to see them again.

And when i do actually make someone into a fan, They wonder why they've never heard of them before. And i Just say that Music is all about Money these days.

  • so true, but so sad! sometimes i feel really bad for people who've never experienced mutemath. the music just gives you a lift and those poor people are missing out on something incredible :)

  • OMIGOSH!!!!! I swear, all i listen to nowadays is Mutemath and John Mayer. I love this song, it's beautiful.

They really should put the Reset EP songs onto their own album with some other songs <3

  • if only it really all was okay...
