  • Who noticed the them song was from gears of war

  • Из Топ Гира.

  • this looks to me like a DRUNKEN DRIVER on Jack Daniels.

What is the hurry? you are going no where,no matter what.

  • this looks to me like a DRUNKEN DRIVER on Jack Daniels.

  • awesome truck ever seen...........

  • This is the most sale volumn in Thailand.

  • what if u have a white car in the arctic and ur stranded wat r ur odds?

  • All those arctic explorers from the past that left their lives or limbs at these once unattainable places would probably role in their graves to know that one of the most popular and respected feats is nowadays is reduced to market a car model...is there anything nowadays that doesn't imply the publicity of a product? Sure,it used to be nationalism in the past, but this is ridiculous. I'll be damned if I ever buy this car.

  • I wonder what type of truck drove the film crew?

  • @sendittobryce i saw a later episode of the show and the crew had the exact same vehicle and set up, they used that one to go to the edge of a volcano

  • That looks very windy

  • Not the North Pole, but certainly looks like it (except the land part).

  • Red is a wise color choice for the arctic; if you're stranded, you're easy to spot.

  • Very impressive 4 wheelin that Toyota is a stout truck for an import I am very partial to Ford F series 4x4 Diesel trucks but of I were to confided a truck of that size I would chose that Toyota

  • Isn't it the South Pole instead of the North?

  • @Hodlaz No this was an BBC Top Gear special and they really drove this Arctic Truck AT38 To North Pole.

    First Time!

  • This from Top Gear.

  • Top Gear!

  • ive driven a stock diesl hilux sr5 2005 model they are so much fun to drive

  • The gas pedal must have gotten stuck and he couldn't stop it.

  • Why is this not in the U.S. yet?

  • toyota tacoma??

  • Almost. This is the diesel version. Called Toyota hilux. Found most places in the World, except US.

  • and canada... its a shame that we have to buy full size heavy duty trucks before we can get diesels... its the same for cars (vw is the only diesel)

  • @sidhucer00789

    toyota hilix 3.0 D4-D

  • @jimny66 I truely doubt that it was a 3.0 in that truck.........

  • @markopolo149

i know! this shit is really badass.

  • @markopolo149 Because the unrealistic tree huggers don't like diesels, besides I think they call it a Tacoma in the states.

  • @markopolo149 because Tacoma's are gay :D

  • @markopolo149 they r coming,and they are awsome,

  • @markopolo149 Its Toyota Hilux. There's some in U.S.

  • @joshiesworld No it is an Arctic Truck AT38, good car, but i own an Arctic Truck AT44 wich is a bit better.

Both are based on an Hilux but over 50% are non Toyota Parts

  • @markopolo149 CAUSE IT WILL KILL THE GOVERNMENT MOTORS . LOL

  • Best Car In The World!!!

  • Why don't you properly credit where you stole the source footage from, faggot?

  • Jeremy Clarkson & James May in Top Gear Polar Special

    great production

  • thats a truck right there.... haha

  • i want to try that

  • then they have a poblem, but the cemera crew have probably things to help with they too

  • what if a poler bear eats the camera crew

  • wtf happens if they crash or run out of gas or breakdown out there

  • ofc they have someone to pick them up and help them. they have probably extra gas on the platform or whatever its named.

  • what if its windy, (tracks erase) its blizzard covers car and gas depletes because they were flooring it in a snow drift and got stuck and batteries for sattelight phone die

  • you must be a cityboy:P

  • ehh both i do live an hr from chicago but i got a ton of land its just that since i dont have nice trucks me and my buddies always get stuck so we leave it to the dirt bikes lol

  • @davo16747 Then u fight for your life like i did!! I Live on a farm and my dumbass drove home in a blizzard!! North Dakota Thing!! IDK, but there was zero visability and i couldnt see my gravel road anymore and got stuck!! I was supposed to fill up before i left but forgot, so i had under 1/4 tank. I bundled with everything i had.A beanie and two left handed gloves. and started walking. I made it to the neighbors farm 1.5 mile away and It was 65 below with wind chill!! frostbite and froze lungs!

  • Nothing can replace a good ole' snowmachine.

  • Toyota > Nissan > Honda > Ford > GM

  • as in trucks yes but for cars

HOnda>Toyota>Nissan>Mitsu (yes ill take it over a Gm or Ford anyday even with all there problems lol)

  • I wish I had one. But why not use mattracks?

  • the reason why we choose tyres over tracks in arctic areas is because track systems are too slow and use alot more fuel as the gearing ration within the track systems is not efficient.

if they could be engineered to give better fuel efficiency, more durable on paved roads & and didn't cost as much as the vehicle itself! then we might use tracked systems.

  • That car is Icelandic

  • Jeeps dont need anything either , just basic maintainance my friend has a Jeep with 200,000 miles on it and its runs probably better than your toyo. toyo's are cheap . my friend made the mistake of getting a toyo truck the transmission cracked open the secong month ,POS

  • BS & if He bought it new he had warranty So I bet he still has it

& a Jeep aint all that great in the Snow compared to a tacoma

    Suv Vs Truck

    Suv to heavy

  • Just a bunch of Demestic lovers talking shit about these great trucks.. I dont see Ford Chevy or dodge making cool trucks like these?

  • ford raptor

  • The ford raptor wasnt designed for the Artic terrain

  • never said it was just saying that ford is starting to make vehicles to tackle adverse terrain.

  • Well that wasn't what i was trying to point out. You could get any truck put fox shocks on it and drive in the desert then its automaticly a "adverse terrain" thats what you are trying to say. The ford raptor isnt anything special and they have problems downshifting. Its just a F150 with Fox Shocks a brush guard and a super charger big fucking deal.

  • Wrong fucktard. The electronics systems are the first of its kind in an American made vehicle of this sort. Literally every mechanical (suspension- body) aspect of the Raptor has been designed for off-roading: including the Fox shocks designed along side with Ford. Ford trannies are typically bullet proof, not sure where you got that slipping deal. The Raptors do NOT have superchargers. They come with the 5.4L Triton..and coming in the new year the 6.2L "Boss" V8. Try again, faggot.

  • Ok lets see my friend that has the same truck as i has the same problems as ive had his locks wont work and his odometer stop working. I had to re gear my transmission TWICE. The Raptor is a wanna be trophy truck that is over priced with the mods that are on it. it weights a fuck load and it will never get through the shit that these trucks to. So shut the fuck up and try to prove a point to someone who cares about a faggot (YOU) on the internet.

  • I've proved my points.

You've just went through a slurry of text and came up with zero valid points. Also, it's not spelled "weights". Your last "sentences" made no sense. Try again.

  • And what point is that? That you are a fucking loser trying to start internet arguments? Oh shit MR Grammar here! You are only a internet RAMBO that hides behind a keyboard but isn't man enough to say it in person. It's already been proven that American vehicles are shit because all of the companies been bankrupt. Like you said "try again"

  • Typical internet faggot. I didn't start anything. I corrected everything that you stated and then you deleted said comment. Good game, faggot.

  • You are the one who started it and used the "shut the fuck up" "Faggot" terms which are repetitive and over used terms that internet rambos (like yourself) use. You might make friends if you grow up and stop acting like a 13 year old Jr High Kid that discovered these words for the first time.

  • You keep saying the same thing over and over. I've disproved you over and over. I'm done. If I were such an internet "rambo" I would not be blocking you. :) Have a good one, guy-who-is-a-ricer-sympathizer. =)

  • Because you can't finish what you started.

  • with a skid plate**

  • well my opinion is that there is no better cars than the Toyota.

  • you cant get these in america.. god damn it..

  • Check out Toyota Tacoma ;)

  • Toyota trucks are and have always been the best. My 11 year old 110,000 mile Toyota has never had any problems and has never needed anything outside of routine maintainance. They're easy to maintain and can be kept going without much effort at all. American cars on the other hand require relatively frequent replacement of big ticket things like engines and transmissions over the same time and mileage. I don't know anyone with a ford or chevy with as many miles who didnt need to change either

  • Diesel?

  • well .. top gear made this "amazing driving in extreeme conditions" video .. and it's just edited before upload avoiding top gear presenters !

i agree that TOP GEAR should be mentioned in the title

  • i dont like toyota, but i do love these trucks. i have to give them credit for what they can do.

  • give credit to top gear please in the title

  • indeed, top gear should get the credit for this video, and they should be in the tittle or at least the info

  • clips taken from top gear

  • nice video and cool music

  • Great truck, wouldn't mind having one.

  • this was THE best top gear shows ever and you cut it to shreds

  • I think this is one of the best trucks that money can buy. My unmodified Vehicross can't conquer this kind of terrain. Definitely a dream truck!

  • dullest and longest car commercial ever in the history of mankind

  • this video was good

seen it yesterday! lets chat en

  • I actually watched that whole video. That is just cool stuff, brings back old times with my Hummers & Jeep. I gotta build me a new rig like that.

  • I want this truck! probably be cheaper to lift my Landcruiser though....

  • It would of been cheaper to fly... but what fun would that be?

    Good stuff!!

  • I grew up in Manitoba.

    Winters there simply suck.

Days with a windchill can drop as low as -50 in January.

I had a diesel GM one winter, and It left me in the cold so many times because it either needed to be warmed up and stored indoors, or plugged in with battery blankets just to get it to turn over. The transmission failed, and engine was garbage. I sold it and bought a NEW Chevy S10 ZR2 and the transmission needed to be replaced 6 TIMES in 1 MONTH! GM products SUCK!!!! Let'em drown.

  • Don't you wish we could get this truck here in Manitoba?? At least we would have something to go through the potholes with!

Kinda glad I went with the Taco, but still no Hilux!

  • Any diesel has troubles starting in cold whether- ESPECIALLY whether THAT cold. Replaced the transmission 6 times in 1 month? That's a load of bullshit, my friend. If you're going to make up stories, at least make them believable.

  • I'd be thrilled if we could get the Hilux with a D4D engine in the US... weather or not the whether was hot or cold.... LOL

  • Russians have some special diesel, Russian army, I know, we bought it from them, that sustains any cold weather, any means what it can get ( minuses in winter ) here in Serbia.. ( up to - 20 C )...

    Really great diesel fuel.

  • It's just treated fuel. You can get treatment for diesel here in America, too. The engine itself is still going to have a tough time starting, though, regardless of the fuel treatment, because the combustion process in a diesel is based purely off heat from the large amount of compression they have.

  • this car is made in Japan but the modification are made in Iceland

  • That was a great video, my truck pulls hard in snow!

  • what kind of truck do you have?

  • Chula troca pero... y Jeremy Clarkson??? le quitaron lo mas divertido al video jejeje

  • ai Karamba!

  • perfect music... amazing car' opportunities...

  • yeah that top gear they are sold to toyota any american 4x4 whit these mod will do better

  • lol think so.

  • I'm all for supporting our economy but I really think that Toyota has beat out American auto manufacturers. American cars are expensive to buy, they break down more and cost a lot to repair. Toyota builds HIGH quality cars that are very efficient. Cheap, last forever, inexpencive to repair, they're truly great vehicles.

  • Why the North American auto manufacturers can't copy Japan? I have no idea...

  • CANdigB you have no idea? Simple, American car manufactuerer sucks. Japanese car production emphasis on engineering a lot. That is one of the reasons why ppl buy a lot of Toyota's instead of ford etc.. Its a simple observation. Japanese cars dont break down very often because they engineered to perfection and they are fuel economy. Compared to North America, cars are heavy, and likes fuel, and it has a tendency to break down after several years. NA arent built for long lasting life where Jap are

  • i agree with you , but notice that the hilux was manifactured in usa :)))

  • magick does that make a difference because it was manufactured in USA? No it wont make a difference. All the assembly line of Toyota in North America follows the same design as they did in Japan.

  • manufactured in US... but engineered in Japan...

  • That was sarcasm at its finest, relax I'm a Toyota owner for a reason!!! Sorry for the confusion. Thats why there is a question mark at the end of that sentence.

  • Bull shit! I dont see many old Jap trucks still running on the road.

I do see a lot of old Chevys and Fords!

In fact you can find all the new parts you need to keep that old Ford or Chevy working. Just like new.

  • rude your comment was as useless as those people who say American cars are better than Japanese. There are still many old toyotas running, you just dont see a lot because your not realizing reality. Second, American cars that are old have horrible engine sounds. Third all your comment is self contradictory, replacing old chevy with new parts is the same as getting a new truck and that doesnt make it originally old. Before you say something is BS, your comment is BS.

  • Toyota

    the brand 9/10 taliban prefer.

You dont see old 'jap' trucks cause in NA they weren't sold until much later (People and their incessant brand Loyalty). whereas across asia and europe they are known to be some of the toughest vehicles. (where NA trucks werent sold because well... they couldnt compete)

  • Hmm. Let's see. A standard Toyota can do all this, with a few minor breakdowns. All the Americans have for SUVs are these:

    1)Hummer H3(all show,no go 1)

    2)Caddy Escalade(all show,no go 2)

    3)Chevy Avalanche(good,but unreliable and expensive)

    4)Chevy Suburban(SUV with urbanized spec=no good)

    5)Dodge Ram(too big and heavy)

    6)Ford Sport Trac(kind of tacky and it's a Ford)

7)Ford F-150(big,vulgar,powerful BUT heavy, bulky and not quite the muddy type)

  • An American built truck would end up broken down someplace in the middle of nowhere.

    (Speaking from experience).

    Toyota's the best.

  • i'll admit toyota made a good truck but my cummins is great i was impressed how well it started and ran at -40 C up here in canada and it can go though alot of snow too

  • Dont forget Landrover LR3 (Discovery3) and Range Rover are still pretty good. And the LR Defender is the daddy of all 4x4's and still the most hardcore, dedicated offroaer. Fit the same high-lift suspention and it will be just as good if not better. I suppose the Toyota will have a better nterior than a Land Rover Defender,

  • With all respect for the Defender(the only LR that can handle offroad at all), is not in the same legue even if it looks like a tractor. The engine, suspension and drivetrain cant handle any real offroad or hardcore snow driving. You cant change axles all the time and the eninge must start.I know a thing or two about both Defenders and the car in this video and Im telling you, a LR engine wont do the job in those conditions.

  • I think its a travesty that the finish of Team Dog was not shown. A Fan of Top Gear and a fan of cars I may be, but those dogs, unlike the truck were not the best in the world. I guarantee, that the Ididarod champion dog team, and their musher, could without spare parts, bury some drunk British people in a Toyota. Bring it, said the great state of Alaska. (Sarah Palin sucks, but still)

  • , Toyota the best !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • mine car is a hi lux, and i want it to look like this one, its one of a kind

  • I... want... this... car...

    AFK, delivering lottery ticket.

  • this hilux is a beast. i am a toyota technician at the local toyota garage. when i went to my graduation, i got photos of me next to this car. its awsome.

  • This Toyota is made in?

  • Japan of course

  • Modified in Iceland, and made in South Africa

  • iceland

  • I mean; This car is made in Iceland or Norway.

  • Nice car, but he's doing on the North Pole?

  • yes, it was for a show called top gear. It supposedly was the first car to drive from canada to the magnetic north pole. You should check out the show on BBC its pretty good.

  • hilux = ROAR!

  • uffff Toyota es TOyota..!I love it..!!! cold or hot.. is the same.. work..!!

  • einfach toll !!!!!!!!!!!

  • that was from Top Gear the best show in the world

  • nuff said

  • that is the nicest hilux and it has a standard engine and standard transmission

  • No it didn't. The engine was heavily modified to cope with the very low temperatures and the transmission was completely replaced.

  • Vehicle Modifications:

Standard 169bhp 3.0-litre D-4D engine, modified to cope with the ultra-low air temperatures.

Auxiliary heater added to boost coolant temperature before starting, together with fuel heaters and a heavy duty battery.

Air intake raised and special exhaust system fitted

Auxiliary 90-litre fuel tank increasing total capacity to 170 litres.

    Transmission

Arctic Trucks 4.88:1 ring and pinion differentials, with front and rear diff locks with cold weather preparation.

  • What suspension?

  • Bellissimo paesaggio per una grande auto.

    E'proprio una ganzata.

  • grandioso buena suerte

  • I NEED this truck to rescue my friends stuck on the snow in the corsican mountains !! good vid .

  • What a cool job you all have. Great video too.
