Look at the reaction of the two girls: one is titillated by a "bad boy", the other one is looking with daggers as if she wants to punish this "bad boy". Two contrasts in the feminine psyche which Potter slots in, almost as if he's throwing the observation away.
I remember when this first showed up on PBS. A local radio talk show host ( Jim Eason ) kept going on & on about this wonderful series. One day the station ran every episode back to back. I fed my VCR new blank tape after blank tape & managed to capture it all. Too bad those old tapes have deteriorated 24 years later. I should try and find this on DVD if it's out.
One of the best series i've ever seen. The little boy reminds me so much of the actor who played the boy in Kes. I know it wasn't him as the film Kes was made 15 years earlier. That in itself was a great film
That was me being grilled by the teacher, many moons ago now but I still remember it like yesterday.
