I hope to have something up soon. I've been sick, so am behind in a lot of things. But I want to get my next act of my PotO vid story up soon, another PotO music vid, and another Wuthering Heights one too. <3 That's what I plan next anyway...

And we were thinking on the same wavelength! lol I did a search after I commented last and found a few Corel tutorials that helped bunches- yay!- but nothing on masking yet or making mask images (boo- lol). Hopefully more will be added soon- (I did put in the request. ;-))

Great job! I loved the story! See? It wasn't THAT bad that I chose the song. :D And your masking is lovely! At least you HAVE masking. All I have is a cookie cutter, and a chroma key. Which both are fine. But chroma keyers are her to use, even if you have a color picker... (be sure to put this as a video response to my contest video)

I think maybe what I have is a cookie cutter too? I have 15 or so frames to choose from- the image goes inside- the frame surrounds it and won't disappear or be cut, no matter what I try. So I've been trying to match backgrounds to frames and other little tricks... Oh, yeah that chroma key has been fun to figure out (sometimes- or not- lol)- I just usually keep going with the color picker and watch the view window til I find what looks cool. :)

You can choose your own images for the masking, if your version of Corel is anything similar to the one I used a trial for...

Yeah, but where would I find an image to work to add to what they offer?! lol I guess I'd have to make one. (I don't think there's a site of free silhouettes/ stencils to use- lol) And how do you make a mask frame anyway? That's what's stumping me. But yeah, I like that- that I can add an image to use. Now just to figure out how...but (somehow), I shall prevail! lol

I just wish there was someone else I knew here who uses Corel pro X2- so I could ask them some questions about the masking and chroma keys! lol It came with no instructions, no help guide, nothing. I learned (and am still learning) literally everything by hit and miss.

I just wish I had the ability to erase the excess background in frame, but the program also lets me add images for my own masks, so maybe I can come up with a better silhouette that would remove most of bg. My main problem though was her arms- but I couldn't find a picture of La Carlotta that I liked facing forward with crowd around her - so oh, well. lol
