A sizable portion of the 2001 Las Vegas Posse coaching staff and roster was plucked from the 2000 Scottish Claymores of NFL Europe.

McMahon did a poor job of selling the fact that these guys did have that experience, so most casual observers prejudicially assumed that XFL players were just bums, rather than NFL-E and NFL practice squad guys.

Most of them could put up the same kind of combine numbers as guys on NFL rosters. Many were among the last guys cut at NFL summer camps.
