    keep that in mind .

  • This "tut" is fucking retarded. UnPn is required for some games and applications, disabling this is just dumb. If you have a router forward your ports.

  • when u go to services.msc u want to stop upnp host devices, cause that will stop my network sharing and I use xbox 360 to play songs and movies and stuff.

  • whoa, well, your thing helped me, but on utorrent, what i did is i disabled upnp port mapping, and my speed shot up from 150 KB/s to about 230 KB/s.....Thanks For The Help, i guess.....

  • Thanks for the tip. It actually helped. :D

  • what does forwarding my ports correctly mean and what is a router??

  • Port forwarding (sometimes referred to as tunneling or virtual servers) is the act of forwarding a network port from one network node to another. This technique can allow an external user to reach a port on a private IP address (inside a LAN) from the outside via a NAT-enabled router. - Wiki

A router is basically (for me) a moderm with wireless capabilities - not technical term but descent I think.

  • We fucking dont see anything ... lol

  • OMG DONT PEOPLE GET THIS DONT TAKE TIME TO TYPE TYPE IT ALL UP IN ADVANCE that was constructive critasisisisisism

  • ok i did this... before i did it i was dloading at tops 370 a second. i really havent noticed a fifference. just curious..., can it be faster or is 370 a sec alot?

  • ummm.. forgive me for bein a newbie. but how do u actually forward your ports correctly.. im so ashamed for asking this question..(:-(

  • thank you it worked i get 100 kb no prob even on 20 seeders thx

  • Didnt work.. faggot.

  • Maybe b/c your an idiot!!

  • LOL Buh bye MyLucky13z!! User blocked LOL

  • where can i disable that fucking port... cant find it.... does that only works on vista?

cant fin d it on XP

  • just port forward its far easier.

  • thank u!!!!

  • whats upnp

  • universal plug and play it mean that what you are using it opens the ports it needs automatically

  • got me from from 10 kB/s to around 40 kB/s. not that much difference.

  • It's probably your just downloading stuff with not enough seeds and peers.

  • how do u forward your ports????? can you make a tutorial on that????

  • you have to have a static ip if you want to port forward, go into your router settings( type your router ip into the task bar) then select port forwarding and enter the port you want to forward - its pretty easy. if your router automatically asigns an ip you will have to change it to static.

  • I recommend Port Forwarding. Although it depends what you download. Movies and music. Movies will take awhile depending on the number of peers their are... I get up to 300 Kb/s

  • You have to port forward no matter what unless your not using a router. I get about 560kb/s max. Not bad for Cable.

  • I tried disabling Upnp in: Azureus, Service.msc and the router, but still my Azureus is firewalled. How can I get NAT OK again?

I'm really getting tired of this :(

  • you should forward your ports if you want NAT to be OK.

  • Thats still slow!! I get about 150-200kb/s when downloading 300+ mb files.

  • NO i get anywhere from 60 to 70Kb/s

  • Your downloads will be slow as crap no matter what kind of connection you have. I have cable and if i dont forward my ports right i would get maybe 10kb/s. Is that what you get?

  • Yeah i have a Router, if i dont forward my ports what will happen?

  • You have a router? If not, this wont help you. This is only for people with routers.

  • What if i dont forward my ports?

  • It stands for Universal Plug and Play.

  • ummm dus upnp stand for sumtin? if so what.
