  • It makes sense actually that the lightsaber cannot deflect lasers, after all, Luke has just started his Jedi career, can't expect him to learn such a skill instantaneously.

  • LOVE REMIXED NES TMNT THEME INTRO!

  • Come on, I beat a Han level no deaths. I had a Det and It went off right at the boss and cut off its guns:) I'm 12. I got to Dagobah with maybe 4 deaths.

  • I'm going to get this game for Christmas. :)

  • maby you should make this show like a 1 year per episode show special show

    or maby not

  • How come in the begining of the video it sounds like you are sarcastic?

  • Inside sandcrawler

  • I looked up this video because I was thinking of taking a look back at previous star wars games. I think the reviewer was a little harsh on the second title.

I can remember playing both, and noticed the difficulty on both. The thing you have to understand is that gaming was VERY different back then.

Gameplay in games wasnt as worked out. You are frustrated by having to repeat levels to learn them but back then this was part of the fun. Reviewing it back then you would have thought different.

  • @swtorguidedotcom

I know what gaming was like back then, I grew up playing this. The 2nd is the weakest and most glitched of the Trilogy that's just the facts. Had the debug feature not have been included many gamers would have been out raged by Super ESB. I recall a couple reviews from Gamepro Magazine & Nintendo Power that both talked about the games broken platforming elements. Though not many talked about the cheat codes that made the game better. Super ROJ is what Empire should have been

  • @kNIGHTWING01 I too grey up playing this and beat it myself, and i do remember reading seeing things about it being difficult back then. But what I was trying to say is that you are applying todays norms in reviewing games to a game that is way outside this generation. You are now all grown up and you dont like repeating a level 5 times to complete it (learning the angles of things that shoot, dying a lot to leran a boss), but this is how that game was DESIGNED. It was designed to need repeats.

  • @swtorguidedotcom i think he was spot on, i played this gamea a year ago after not playing it in a longtime, i thught i sucked, but it's actually the game that's insanely impossible to beat!!! i gave up on this game...btw play Dino Crisis 2 with shotgun while eating a gyro dish!!!

  • I try the cheat in the start screen. I want to start the game from Sand Crawler level. I can't do it. I try more than 50 times and didn't work. :( Anyone can help? I use emulator.

  • The biggest problem with Super Empire is the slippery platforming physics. You'd expect it when playing on the icy, snowy Hoth levels, but NOT on Dagobah, and NOT on Cloud City!

Btw, some levels will inconsistently give you passwords. Example: Luke's X-Wing approach to Cloud City. You lose all of your lives, maybe you'll get a password for that level. Grrr!!!

  • awesome

  • the best starwars game is lego starwars complete sage imo

  • R2-D2 is a scumbag, he knows who luke's father is yet doesn't tell him

  • I agree with you on the escaping the death star level I got a headache from that one

  • love the intro

  • This was great :D What other Game Knights reviews are you gonna put up?

  • is your name realy luke?

  • @IblisLucario64

    Yup

  • @kNIGHTWING01 cool

  • @kNIGHTWING01 awsome

  • well um i beat all 3 games without cheats empire was the hardest but i didnt hate it at all personally i like the character variety of jedi and the design and challenge of empire so overall id say empire is my favorite one just out of curiosity kwing do u have a list of your 10 hardest games since u said empire is on it

  • @sergeantdeath666

Ive never made a video about it. I would really have to think. Ive played thousands of games in the last 25 yrs.

  • 25:39 like her husband?

  • @tristanswim

She marries Han and they have 2 twins that later become Jedi's.

  • @kNIGHTWING01 So do you know where to start reading the novels than? I need tp know. P.S I thought Han and Leia had 3 kids.

  • @tristanswim The kids names are Jacen and Jaina Solo they go to their Uncle Luke's Jedi Academy on Yavin 4 also they later have a little brother named Anakin Solo.

  • i guess i have a phd cuz i pwnd all the star wars games back in the day :)

  • I hate it when it make it hard.

  • at-at, not at-st

  • I only ever tried one game in that trilogy, and it happened to be Super Empire, so you can see why I didn't have the ambition to go back and try the rest of them. All I could think of when you showed the ship sequences in many of the games (Particularly Death Star levels) was Rogue Squadron. Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader is probably my favorite Star Wars game, and it has the most memorable Death Star attack levels. Endor was fun too. Great review, man!

  • These look sweet, reminds me a lot of Metal Slug which is one of my favourites

  • the code doesnt work! :(

  • @DarkskullXL it takes practice you have to do these codes quickly.

  • @kNIGHTWING01

omg! :( ok! im sooooooo close to giving up! so close!!!!!!!

  • Every time kwing talks about the music, he never let's us listen to the music.

  • Awesome as always.

By the way, love thesong in the intro, it's my favourite off your album :)

  • I played this game a lot. Never managed to complete it though was really hard :/

  • nice --- Sent From knightwing01's AppRats (Facebook App)!

  • TESB was definitely hard. I'm still surprised that i actually beat it back in the day.

  • Man the Star Wars trilogy on the SNES was and still is EPIC. EXCELLENT GAME PLAY. EXCELLENT REPLAY VALUE. MUSIC WAS EXCELLENT. Did I mention these games are EXCELLENT?

  • Comment removed

  • ohh fawking ballsack you rock K!

  • @kNIGHTWING01 Why do you call the AT-AT's AT-ST's?

I know it is a bit of a nitpick but you did say you really like Star Wars, and I am a bit of a fanboy.

  • The intro music is epic!

  • on the speeder level, you don't have to move. if u just stay still, the jawas will just come at you, thats what i do. try it next time!

  • i grew up playing this game, very nostalgic for me

  • man, i love these games, one of the best game trilogies on the snes! damn awesome! and i really like this... these reviews hehehe very interesting and smart!

  • awsome review man are we gonna see indiana jones greatest adventures next?

  • Will you ever review Okami? Just wondering.

  • I could see you freaking out if you did a Gaming episode on the Star Wars games

  • Good Review, but you forgot to mention how useful Chewbacca's spin was. He was essentually invisible until in ran out. Also, I didn't have that much trouble on the death star escape. Maybe its because I played it so much as a kid. Other than that, an excellent and informative review.

  • Well, Luke wasn't really trained in ep. 4 sure he had that little training session with Obi Wan but he couldn't really use the light saber until after his training with Yoda.

  • Wow...i didn't think empire strikes back was that bad. I beat before.

  • Kwing just a little note that the at,sts that you take out with cable are acutaly called an at,at

  • kwing your reviews are awesome just like everything else on your channel keep it up and thank you for doing what you do oh and congratulations on 50,000 subscribers

  • Awsome tmnt cover

  • omg.. 0_0 i almost got headaches cuz of the fast motion levels... (the vehicle levels).. ugh..lol

  • @Nascarfan24dude besides that awesome review i love star wars!!! STAR WARS PWNS THE NEWBS!! :P

  • Is the intro some form of Stone Cold Crazy malformation? I like it!

  • I remember playing the second game of the Triliogy as a kid and my best accomplishment was beating the first level. :P

  • I love these games!

For Super SW: I loved all the vehicle levels and the Trinch Run.

For Super ESB: I liked that Chewie had a spin move and Han had grandes and the X-wing to cloud city and the Astroid Field.

For SRotJ: I loved everything about it hands down.

  • There are actually 14 levels in the 1st game: 1) Dune Sea 2) Land Speeder 1 3) Outside Sand Crawler 4) Inside Sand Crawler 5) Tusken Wastes 6) Land Speeder 2 7) Mos Eisley Space Port 8) Cantina 9) Get to the Falcon 10) Death Star Hanger Bay 11) Prisoner Hallway 12) Deactivate the Shield Generator 13) X-Wing: Death Star Surface 14) X-Wing: Death Star Trench Run As for flight-sim levels in Jedi, I agree that they were a huge pain at 1st, but a little practice went a long way. Just be precise
  • Great video, Kwing. To this day I still consider this games to be the best Star Wars games ever made. With Super Return of the Jedi being my favorite.

  • Poor R2.

  • Thumbs up if you watched this video with a snack

  • Hey Kwing, ever played Oblivion?

  • I have super star wars return of the jedi and super star wars for the original snes

  • wow, awesome reviews, and 3 in a row, i think i watch all the gameknight tv chapters, but i didnt rebember this one. i only had the first game of the series, and it was full of fun for a long time, until i got really good at it, and the game became extreamly short.

  • what do u mean with mode 7?

  • @Pathrone That's the graphics engine used for most of the ship flying levels in these games

  • Wait how were you cursed at birth?

  • I'm not sure if I agree with you on episode 5. I was able to pass this game at 9 years old without too much frustration. Yes, the game was a bit challenging but never to the point where I felt a cheat was needed to pass a stage. I will say this though, f*** the Dagobah boss.

  • How he went from an apprentice to knight in one year no one knows seriously and yet he took like many years to become a master It really confuses me.

  • I grew up playing only Super Star Wars Episode 5 and 6 and I have to AGREE with the Jumping issues on Episode 5 but I never knew their was a Debug menu for these games, I just used In game codes and sometimes Game Genie codes to make things even more fun, heh who thought Cheating could be fun lol. Anywho I had the same problems at the Escape Death Star sequence too I had to use Passwords for that stage ALOT on my first time ITS JUST EVIL!

  • Hey Kwing. Have you ever played Dark Forces 1 or 2?

I am a huge fan of Star Wars, as well. These games, the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series, Shadows of the Empire, Battlefront 1 and 2, Republic Commando, KOTOR1 and 2. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

  • You are named after Luke Skywalker? Dude, the only way that could be cooler is if you were named after Han Solo

  • 3:42 that's what star fox on Snes should have looked like lol

  • Is Game Knights TV ever coming back? I'm talking about full length episodes like you guys used to do. BTW, did you guys ever do that Sonic Colors episode? I have a hard time remembering.

  • @Ryanmiller70

    2012 there were some factors.

  • @kNIGHTWING01 So, GKTV is coming back, but not until 2012? Awesome. I just wanted to know that they're coming back. GKTV was the one thing I always looked forward to when coming on to Youtube.

  • What is your icon suppose to be and where is that from @ 0:09

  • @Xienone

    the good knight.

  • @kNIGHTWING01 hey kwing on your schedule it says ssbb part 10 on tuesday but part 10 came out already on thursday jul 7

  • right after you said grab a snack, i grabbed my Skittles:D

  • @NakedLeafProductions That game owns so much.

  • damit i have no snack :(

  • I heard you say that you ranked the second game as the "tenth hardest game of all time" just an idea for a video, why dont you do a list/mini review of the games that you think are the hardest.

  • Wow, someone who had the first comment that actually didn't say first. That just made history.

  • I am very surprised kwing, I've played the first super star wars in the series more than all the others and I find it the most difficult by far, even after learning most of the secrets within each level (hidden health, power-ups, etc). The second one I barely played *in comparison*, but I did finish the game and it was much easier than the first. Just so you know, I never knew about the debug menu, so I beat all the stages in order without skipping any.

  • not that long ago i watched these videos

  • i had Super Empire Strikes Back on the NES when i was younger and i never beat it. it WAS way too hard. im only 24 right so i was quite young. i did like it tho, just frusterated me

  • I have played these games before, they're great.

  • I actually got a snack before watching. xD

  • Did you ever beat the original TMNT? I heard the opening theme and thought about it. I can get into the Tecnodrome, but never got past the skinny hallway filled with laser shooting astronauts.

  • @hardlyfunny

I avoided the enemies as best I could and used the shock wave attack, it made the technodrome pretty easy. That & Shredd head was really easy.

  • never heard of SUPER star wars...this was cool. these games look sweet

  • Wow. As soon as there's a video up by Kwing there's like at least 100 views instantly. It never ceases to amaze me.

  • Awesometastic!

  • Kwing . have you ever played a platformer called "Super meat boy"?

If not you should check it out as a platformer

  • Great review kwing

  • Great intro, and awesome review!

  • I know a lot of people brag about stuff on youtube, and it's annoying, but I'm suprised that no one has commented yet. So.... FIRST COMMENTER! and... 6TH VIEWER (Yeah, that part isn't that special)

  • 3rd

  • Near First comment

    Also great review

  • I thought it said Stupid Star Wars Review in the description. LOL
