Seems to me he was saying that Jesus didn't claim to be the Messiah, not that Hagee is saying that He wasn't. Although that might not be entirely true, because when posed with the question "Are you the Son of God", Jesus very clearly replied "I Am'. So if you consider "Son of God" and "Messiah" to be the same thing, then maybe you could come to that conclusion.

I don't think Hagee is a big time false prophet or anything, but ever since I saw him with Benny Hinn I've kept my distance.

That was a claim of deity, and that is why they said that He blasphemed. He also showed He was messiah when He forgave sins, and rose from the dead. Oh, and he fulfilled all the messianic prophecies. I just wonder he tries to claim in this book. He is definitely wrong when He says Christ did not come to be the Jews messiah.

i have seen this ad first hand on john hagee's program. this is the short version of the ad for the book. in the long version of the ad john hagee explains himself about his comments about jesus not claiming to be the messiah... john haggee said that at the last supper when jesus was talking about "this is the cup of the new covenant in my blood" and in another part "i will not drink this cup until i drink in my father's kingdom" during that part of the last supper jesus wastalking about...

OMG when I saw this in another video, I felt my stomach sink, I was so stunned! I respected John Hagee until I saw this.

Jesus did confess to be the Messiah and the Son of the Living God...it says so in the Bible.

I feel like I should do more research though on what He is...I'd like to find out that this was just a misinterpretation or hopefully he's apologized for saying this.

How can you claim that JC is the messiah when you also believe that he had no human father? The true messiah has to be a paternal grandson of King David. The tribal descent of a Jew is always paternal( see Numbers chp. 1) Why does the first page of the NT try and prove his descent to King David through Joseph when they also admit that Joseph was not his biological father? What was the point then of using a whole page of showing Joseph's descent to King David if he wasn't JC's real father??
