Yeah so a couple things. First off, like some others said, why did they use a gt500 not a gt, which would have been a much better more fair choice. Second, why is it that inside line seems to get such bad 0-60 times for the Challenger. First they had 5.5 seconds, now 5.3, this car can easily do 4.6-4.8, what are they're drivers doing? Also, the Challenger is very practical, with the biggest truck and 5 seats. Plus it looks the most like the original and is the best looking one. Challenger wins!

The shelby mustangs are factory production vehichles, they are just influenced by shelby but the motor is svt just like the 03-04 cobra's. The only shelby's that have to be special ordered are the gt350 and the gt500 supersnake.
Very true, mustang was invented before the others and as far as weight/hp ratio the 5.0 gt would have been the better comparison, which they've made that comparison already and the 5.0 dominated as well. I will admit that ford came out with the 5.0 to be better matched with the other two, because the 2010 gt was weak and definetly behind it's competition. I prefer the mustang only because I'm a ford guy, but am very happy to see chevy and mopar back in the game!! They've all made great cars!
ford came out with the mustang to compete with the chevrolet camaro not the corvette. Just because ford decided to put more power in their pony car than chevy or dodge doesnt make it unfair. I mean finally chevy has come out with a beafed up camaro (zl1) that has the zr1 vette motor and it's nasty! Think of it like this, if you buy an ss and put the extra money that u would spend buying the mustang then you would have one sick chevy. It's just a personal choice as to what you want.
@02mustangguy Ford has always had the Mustang. They've had it before the Camaro, Charger, and the Challenger of the 60's. In the end, it is not doubt that the Mustang is the best. Chevrolet AND Dodge stopped producing muscle cars by the early 2000's because they weren't as appealing as the Mustang. With Shelby and Saleen variants, neither would have survived. It's just a matter of time before the production of the 2 companies' muscle cars stop yet again, while Ford takes the cake.

IMHO all of these cars are amazing all very iconic and all very true to there roots but my personal preference is the Shelby always will be but all three cars are amazing!
While the dodge and chevy try to stick to the true muscle car heritage the GT500 is to busy not being much of a traditional muscle car. Ofcourse the more expensive, lower riding and did i mention much more expensive car is going to win. A slightly used M3 will run you probably the same amount as the srt8 and Beat all of them at everything.

@tiestoXIV well unfortunately for Ford, the regular GT doesnt stand a chance abgainst the other two, the GT500 is the closest, but even with the power advantage its not what it should be, terrible weight distribution, bad chassis and terrible suspension.

@tiestoXIV Fine, how about a 2011 Mustang GT with the Coyote 5.0? Better? Funny thing is, the 5.0 still beats the Camaro and it has a smaller engine! Granted, I'll take a Camaro over the new Challenger. But still.... the Camaro isn't the best of the best. Even the new ZL1 Camaro is supposed to have 580 hp and that's top of the line Camaro. The 2011-12 Super Snake Mustang packs 750 (800 with a Kenne Bell kit). I'm sorry, but there are times you just gotta tilt your hat to the better car.

While the dodge and chevy try to stick to the true muscle car heritage the GT500 is to busy not being much of a traditional muscle car. Ofcourse the more expensive, lower riding and did i mention much more expensive car is going to win. A slightly used M3 will run you probably the same amount as the srt8 and Beat all of them at everything.

As for the silverado, it has nowhere near the technology the f150 has. Silverado has rear drum breaks, weak frame, less payload and towing, and extremely cheep interior. The F150 has the strongest frame, most payload and towing and higher quality interior. Oh, and the duracrap is designed by Isuzu, just sayin :)

The Camaro SS is the slowest Camaro there is and it was $15,000 less than the other 2. If we woulda supercharged the Camaro or used the Camaro Hennessy then Chevy woulda kicked ass. Dodge doesn't even come close to Ford, let alone Chevy. Not in Muscle, trucks, or sports cars.
