OK, I'll go with the arytenoid thinking...but the arytenoids are then not symmetrical. Is it an inflammation on the right one? Or do you think the lack of symmetry is irrelevant? The other singers do not show this kind of assymetry. I think the fellow should go to an ENT for an evaluation.
@ayemaya - It's totally possible because it's going on the nose, so you still can articulate with mouth and tongue, and a good trainned singer ever have the back of the mouth wide opened!
His left false cord is a little bit bigger too, I think it's because it have to do a opposite force to make the closure os the folds because his right arytenoid is bigger... but, now I see that to sing barroque and renascense music one must have a huge control to make just a parcial closure of the folds (especially if you're a tenor, because you'll be asked ever to mixed the voice), and have a control of the formants to have a good and healthy ring! GREAT!

In fact, we haven't got 'vocal chords' (cuerdas vocales) as the title suggests, but 'vocal folds' (pliegues vocales).
