How are you ever going to get 60 million votes for anything other than a meaningless Presidential candidate? There are twice as many (120 million) who refuse to vote for anything - so how do you get half of them to vote? - any ideas? I tell them they are throwing their freedom away by NOT Participatin in their OWN GOVERNMENT - It seems to work to some degree - but a lot of people are happy to reject the entire system of government - leaving it ALL IN THE HANDS OF THE ELITE FEW!!

this is one of the reasons so many dont vote, and for the same reason you should change your attitude and fight for this. if you dont try, you deserve the rulers you get.

Peace - that is something that 200 million people in the US want but there are 20 million that vote for wars and that is what we get WARS - look at how stupid it is that that 200 million people don't try to get organized and find enough of them to vote against that 20 million.

Damn - that is pretty bad - and THAT is all I am trying to do is show how 20 million people vote for WAR and because MOST of the remaining 200 million DOn't VOTE at all - we end up with constant WAR!! - it is a FACT

yes, you have an important point. but say that 95% did vote, you think the results would have been any different? after all, people all over the world thought obama would promote peace and "change".

and yes, i think organization is an important factor to balance the mainstream propaganda.

and i think the national initiative would be an exellent mean to limit corporate power and limiting the presidents ability to go to war, but without organization nothing will happen.

1st of all - I don't care about Obama -

Right now - 90% of the people can't even NAME their US House rep. If 95% of the People Voted for their reps in the US House - THEN things would really change (even if 40% voted)

2nd - a national balot initiative is never going to happen untill at least 40% of the people start voting for reps who will draft the NI4D into LAW - see - it is useless to even talk about these legislative changes - they will never happen untill people start VOTING -

people need hope, and they need a voice. if more people knew about NI4D maybe more people would vote.

we agree from different viewpoints. i just think that if you want to light the candle, you need a lighter. you need martin luther king or rosa parks.

you need someone with a purpose who is able to awaken people, who gives them a damn good reason to walk out on the streets and vote, demonstrate, hold speaches and whatever it takes to be heard. voting is a (important) part of the solution, but i dont think that alone is enough.

the fact that people seriously think palin might win proves that I wouldn't trust a complete democracy. the media could manipulate any laws by downplaying the bad side of any vote and encouraging the sheep to vote for horrible laws.

Media's manipulation will weaken if the people choose to become empowered. The text of any law under the NI4D will be limited to 5000 words, simple to digest. Right now we have no power, our opinion means nothing. That's why the media's opinion matters, because it comes from above. Once you take power from above, manipulation decreases and we become a politically smarter nation.
