For info, this is mani ratnam's first movie. and ofcourse it is a kannada movie. And it might have been dubbed into tamil and telugu later considering his popularity there. Once I watched the tamil version in raj digital plus .. I was shell shocked when i saw the title cards to realize who were all worked in it. cinematography was by veteran balu mahendra and of course music was by ilayaraja . Can we ever get another movie like this . ??!!!

Telugu didnt come from Kannada. Telugu and Kannada has very few common words. Telugu and Tamil has more common words than kannada. It is just that Telugu and kannada scripts are similar as both came from brahmi script.

Andhra Pradesh is huge state. Not interms of Population. Even interms of area. Karnataka has more population density than AP. You should think first about growth.
