@Venatorial Hey, at least Star Trek uses science. Star Wars is just fantasy in space. Personally, though, I think Stargate beats them both. It has a much bigger focus on real science. And, the interstellar "society" is much more realistic. AND, the command structure on the Earth starships is more realistic (starships are closer to the Air Force than the Navy).

@Dalryk i based my conclusion on power output. Seeing that star trek ships already have problems with weapons considered 'light' in the star wars universe, it seemed logical to me. I have to agree that Stargate beats them both ( although i didnt knew it existed 2 years ago) But in real life, spaceflight will be different. Lasers and ion drives are too weak today ( it takes a boeing 747 full of equipment and it still takes much time to just burn a hole). Space fights will be fought with missiles!
