The Americans are not on the level of the other 4 teams. Sorry, but they totally don't belong on the podium... Usually out of sync, no dramatism, they don't feel the dance as much as the others. Plus, level of technical difficulty is lower.
I hope it is not too difficult to follow. I'm not the best at montage. ;p
Del/Schoen : their layout is wow. They gain speed with their edges, it's amazing.
Den/Sta : they have chosen speed for their OD. I suppose their step sequence reflects that choice.
Bel/Ago : on the plus side, they look for difficulty. On the minus side, it takes them nearly 5 seconds more than all the others to complete their straight line sequence.
Great montage.. but i was curious where did you see the 2 steps between the twizzles of Den/Sta when there was no step in between the two parts of their twizzles?
I didn't count the in-between steps but the unidirectional steps (easier and used to speed-up) around the twizzles. For Den/Sta, 1 at the begining and 1 at the end. Counting the ending one is a bit arbitrary as it can be considered to be the one which helps to regain speed after the twizzles (or not) or the first one of the next part. It is not completly inaccurate as I counted all the couples the same. I was a bit hesitant about that choice but had to make one.
But there are things not analysed in the video. For example, nor BelAgos, DenSta or DelShoen go directly in the one foot sequence using the speed of the begining. And the steps count doesn't reflect the glide (and not just step-step-step) nor the curve trajectories using edges (instead of just straight line forward).
Great video.
My pick:
1.Denkova-Staviski
2.Delobel-Schoenfelder
3.Debruiel-Lauzon
4.Domnina-Shabalin
5.Belbin-Agosto

Dom/Shab and Dub/Lauzon aren't far from those 3.
