  • If i hear one more sentence about catholics and protestants im gonna scream. You came here to listen to the song. SO LISTEN TO IT.

Stop wasting your time with stuff that ended in 1998. Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom but shares borders with Ireland. Not that hard to understand. It's never going to be united with Ireland so whats the point in talking about it? You have Carson and Craig to thank for that. So shut up and listen to the bloody song. Thank you :)

  • @poppy2365 Religion shouldnt actually be discussed in any case whatsoever. Religion has never been a good influence on mankind. Why kill each other for something you believe happend thousands of years ago? Starting wars because one thinks his imaginary friend is more powerful and just than the others. Or hammer each other down just because they tend to read your holy book with a little more sceptism. Nothing against believers, but just keep it to yourselves dont bother the rest. Gz from Holland

  • @lordmartenlrs I know thats what I was saying...duhhhhhhh

  • @lordmartenlrs How about we forget this whole damn charade and have a cold one!

  • @lordmartenlrs Man abuses religon, its human nature using religon as an excuse.

  • @lordmartenlrs

Your nation shouldn't even be discussed in any case whatsoever, Nationalism has never been a good influence on mankind. Why kill each other for something you believe happend thousands of years ago? Starting wars because one thinks his imaginary claim to land is more powerful and just than the others. Or hammer each other down just because they tend to vote more right-wing with a little more sceptism. ....

    (No borders!)

  • Codladh samh....

  • @tamarasrug What does sleeping well have to do with anything? I'm confused. ^^;

  • May you lie at peace, Ronnie Drew, comforted by the joy your ballads have given us.

  • catholic or protestant we have more in common with each other than we have with anyone else. Its all relative, normans from france invaded and plundered england first then wales, then ireland and then scotland. at this time scottish people were closely related to irish colonists, infact the word "scot" is latin for "irish".... we were all the same until an english king broke from the church so he could marry his mistress while the irish remained catholic, we've been killing each other ever since

  • ur all eejits....this is an irish song...if ye dont like it ..dont listen, if u dont want to be know the irish dont live there....if u dont have family who live there or have lived there then u have no business making comments on what has gone on or shld go on there..but a country is a country and no one should interfere with the divine right of life among a country's people...enuf...great song, nice people, they have had enuf ....let them be for the love of anything.... .....im tappin away!

  • the video is brillant, no one will top that

  • Tiocfaidh ár lá

  • @skynetporter trust an American to start all the "our day will come" nonsense..

I love Ireland and hope to see it united one day

but laugh at uneducated fools 3000 miles away with no clue.

  • @Englishpatriot2010 Why would the land of my birth or the level of my education have anything with this.

  • @skynetporter Because you do not live here. You cannot possibly understand the connotations of using such a saying because you have never experienced death threats from those who utter and smear it throughout Ulster.

  • @skynetporter I hope to god it doesn't.

  • Tiocfaidh ár lá

  • Another great version : /watch?v=Rc82kInq2rQ

  • fucking amazing!

  • Does anyone know a good way to learn Irish accent? I love it!

  • @velebr3 Visit Ireland, mate. ;) IT's what I'd love to do.

  • @Wolfighter27 I am afraid that would have to wait at least for a few years. I do not have enough money at the moment. But Ireland is a place to visit before you die, especially if you like bear, pubs and having good fun like me! And I am certainly going to visit it one day! :D

  • this song reminds me of my girlfriend. Although neither of us are irish.. It just does ^_^

  • @beerbaron88 and @UlsterScotKeith do you mind not repeatedly argueing which song is loyalist or not. People like you with your sectarian statements sicken me.

However this is a great song :)

  • @xxksaoXX "Chump" is not a sectarian statement. Please think before you type.

  • @beerbaron88 I thought and then I typed, surprisingly enough. The connotations of the arguement that you are having make any insults to one another, sectarian.

  • @xxksaoXX You would seem to imply that I'm taking a side. If you look close enough, I called Keith's comment into question. In arguing against his belief, I'm merely using facts to prove myself correct. Again, look at my previous messages.

  • Thumbs up from Denmark :D

  • irish beat is incredible, it flows into your veins and reaches your brain for a natural ecstasy of music. :)

  • great song !

    greetz from belgium :D

  • :D this tune has been stuck in my head FOREVER!!!!!

  • This song is an Ulster song. From loyalists. No Surrender. Im from banbridge!

  • @UlsterScotKeith I don't know quite where to start correcting you, or even if I should bother. Chump.

  • @beerbaron88

It fucking is you twat. Look up your history.

  • @UlsterScotKeith Let's see if you can be sensible. We're talking about a song that was made famous by John McCormack (who certainly had no Loyalist connections) and penned by Cathal McGarvey. Granted, the setting for the song is indeed Banbridge, but I've yet to trace any Loyalist sentiments from the song. Your move.

  • @beerbaron88

Played in all loyalist bands. A huge favourite amongst loyalist bands. FUCK YOU taig.

  • @UlsterScotKeith You're a bit presumptuous with that last remark. As for the song? Played by both sides. Quite simple.

  • I like the extra verse that is usually not included in the tune.

  • this is the best version of this song + it's irish :)

  • Love the Rovers!

  • FREE Celtic Northern Ireland, greetings from Serbia.

  • It's a great song! I love Irish Rovers!

  • Ireland <3

  • forget about the song

beat picture ever made in the history

  • anyone have the lyrics for this exact song ?

  • @theflyingmouse Snif!!!12 people have died

  • @TheHobbsjr Are You kidding?

Who ever doesn't IRELAND is gay!!!!

    Celtic power

I please every Irish people to be happy to be Irish;because if i was i would be every time happy

  • This made me laugh. Great song, but I wasn't execting the upbeatness of it. I personally prefer this one rendition (I do not know the artist, but on my iPod and cd it is by Taheny and Reid). I dunno...but this is an awesome song! I'd pit it to the love bit between Wallace and that girl in braveheart as an amv, but I don't have that mich technical competence. It would work, though...

    Anyways, good song!

  • yeeehaaawww~~~~

  • powerful song =)

  • My mind tells me it should be a bit faster to get the perfect feel of the story.

  • ty for getting a good version of th song

  • hey that's the song we always sing with the scouts when we are sitting around the fire in the evening.....

ialways get goosebumps on my skin when i hear this song

  • I love irish music

maybe because of my celtic blood (i'm from the north of spain) :)

  • i like the Orthodox Celts better on this one

  • @Bbattousai ? really?

  • @Bbattousai Me too, but i like the authentic Irish accent on these guys.

  • 12 people are gay, because they obviously don't care for the star of the county down.

"No maid I've seen, like the fair Coleen, that I met in the county down."

  • This is good but, I preferred the rendition by the Irish Tenors.

  • 12 people have an unreasonably bad taste in music.

  • @Jurassic0Al that or there English

  • @viper90988

Please don't insult the folk of my island by assuming we all hate English people, and don't insult your own country with your lack of intellegence.

  • @Cruithnig i wasnt lad i was just joking around

  • @Cruithnig That wouldn't be insulting his country, that would be insulting himself. Anyone who judges the group by the individual is an example of the reason there have been so many wars.

  • @SLICSfootbaby- True, but it continues to happen. Minimizing it is the best we can hope for, I expect.

  • @viper90988- Heh. Well, maybe.

  • just a bit fast , on my taste^^

  • Great song!

  • UP DOWN! BEST OF LUCK FOR SUNDAY. SHOW THEM WHAT US NORDYS CAN DO!

  • does anyone know how or where to get violin sheet music for this song?

  • I like this song coz theres so much versions of it. :D

  • This is one of my favourite song from Irish rovers and I only heard it yesterday!!!!!! :D

  • @TheHobbsjr I am gay and I like Irish rovers!

  • @sietek Dude, no one wants to know or cares if you're gay! It ought to have nothing to do with your taste in music!

  • @kopackjm You fail to see the context of my comment ^^

  • @TheHobbsjr Though I love the song, I don't see how NOT liking the Irish Rovers makes you homosexual. That kind of makes no sense. I think a range of gay and straight girls and guys love the Irish Rovers, actually!!

  • I love this song, die van de 3 j´s vind ik ook erg goed

  • Good video.
