  • this video is great, now i know about that fugu.. wanna try one, :)

  • Oh, yeah, here we go again typical American meddlers, sticking their nose into every nations' business, and ofcourse they are so wonderful, everywhere they go they make a mess.

All they know about life is to eat and get fat and meddle in people's internal affairs.

Give me one and ONLY One instance that America actualy did a favoure to a country or even an individual! I will give you a medal. so I never buy all that crap!.

  • wow it's really interesting, i dunno that Fugu fish could kill me instantly. I wonder about last part, why that flower uses for decorating food if it link to funeral?

  • Let's repeat....Tsu-KEEEEE-gee.

  • all animals are fair game and on the menu, hell ill eat you if im hungry enough!

  • The dangerous creatures seem to be the most interesting to me.....

  • I'm Japanese. Fugu is a very expensive dish for average income Japanese. So only when we get paid a lots or promoted etc, we can eat them. The taste is so gooood that youd forget the poison at first bite. I didnt know a shape of fine sliced Fugu on a dish was a chrysanthemum. I dont like this reporter linked it to a flower for Japanese funeral. A chrysanthemum is like a symbol flower in Japan. The flower language is noble.

  • japanese people FTW

  • fish is the breakfast of champions!

  • its really good

  • it cant taste that good

  • tang ina mo baluga

  • now we need someone to impose strict regulations on shark fishing for shark fin soup.

  • people just try it because they know htey can die and they enjoy taking the risk.. it sounds stupid to me .. what if the chef accidentally included even a mg of it? and even if the chef is perfect there could be some anomaly in the fish that made some of the tetrodotoxin go in the tissues that are eaten. getting a 'rush' isnt worth the risk of dying to me.

  • This must be some really good fish if dey risk life for it. Must cost a bundle to eat it doe =O

  • thats funny! his friends name is aki and in spanish it means here and she said "And he brought his friend aki(here)"! hahaha^_^

  • not that funny.. lol.. not even spelled the same in spanish

might be funnier if it was japanese but even that wouldnt raelly be funny

  • wow. i never get why popele eat raw fish

  • will try it....

  • What a weird white boy...

  • cute girl! :O

  • risk doesn't seem to be worth the reward, that shit looks nasty

  • wow... if the chef serves you like that... you best be honoured =)

  • There's the version that kills you immediately and the one that takes 10 years, but it's so good you just have to try it and hope I'm lying!

  • yum!! its foodgoo lolz...btw i had pufferfish at home and it died so i decided to not waste and eat it...jk

  • dont worry guys!! it is like having a big mac here in Japan!

  • I heard once about a Western man (from England, I think) who lived in Japan around the turn from the 19th to 20th century. He ate lots fo fugu because he liked the "tingling" feeling he'd get on his lips. Well, that tingling was poison, and needless to say, the dude died.

  • im not fukin with dat meal even if it was free!.lol.

  • ive had it before, sadly enuf not raw, but i had it in soup. meat is super delicate and tasty, i rcommend it

    something worth dying for ;)

  • hmmmmmmmmm

  • God! this looks so delicious!

  • It tastes like chicken?? O_o!

  • looks delicious. i dun mind trying.

  • eeew fish is sooo grosse.

  • the girl's my type

  • It's totally overrated. It tastes a bit like chicken. When you go to a restuarant it costs a lot and you usually only get a tiny little bit.

  • Sounds interesting, is that delicious?

  • serrlsy now i go diving and a puffer always follows me when i see it BOOM and im like 10 meters away from and im like WAT THE HELL

  • fugu is veryveryveryvery delicious !!!

but must not cook it by yourself.

  • The last comment was for Lxi74. What a jack ass.

  • I have this rule...never eat anything that can kill you. I'm also a huge coward and I'm sure that hampers me from trying new and exciting foods.

  • so u wont be trying the cactus sampler? lol

  • I've fished so many of those and always found them annoying to retrieve my hook because these fish have huge teeth.

  • i've already eat puff fish twice, but i'm alive until right now!!!

  • he died later that night when he got hit by a car. that had a puffer fish restaurant logo on it.

  • lol how u come up with that??? genius !!! roflmao

  • haha. happens all the time, like when the crodile hunter died, he escaped death by sharks and lions all the time and gets killed by a friendly stingray he was prolly carressing.

  • It's TSUKIJI not fuckin' tsukuji... Ignorant american...

  • you know... your just a cock-sucker for trying to make someone feel bad about a name that is not common to them. Should Americans call Asians ignorant because they cant pronounce their R's, L's and all the other letter your guys cant say? Now that would be ignorant! Think about what your saying asshole first, then comment.

  • i don't know how to prepare it so i won't even trust myself into eating it

  • i have one every friday night yes yes i love it

  • i eat is like 5 times a year

  • Matsui dai ferhi gakl wo o ya faff fu funaki rakishi, which is japanese for be careful what you eat.

  • 3 people per year die of this. how many people has Japan??? 3 over(whatever number it is)= worth the risk

  • anyone know how good this tastes? or is it for the thrill of it

  • I live in Japan and I have to say that fugu sashimi (raw fugu) is pretty bland. Fugu tempura (lightly battered and deep fried) tastes better but contains a lot of small bones which left me thinking it wasn't worth the hassle. Fugu is pretty expensive as well so once you tried it I doubt you'll be in a hurry to try it again. I wasn't anyway.

  • if you like sashimi you'll LOVE fugu sashimi

  • mmmm sashimi <3

  • If you know how to cut the puffer fish....my grandma said...you won't get the poison!!!!

  • LOL

  • theyre making it seem mroe dangerous than it rly is...

  • Fugu is FUBAR!

    HA!

  • Eating fugu kills you instantly, eating at McDonald's kills you slowly.

  • yea... thats prolly why they make you pay a lot of money for the quick death fugu and pay cheap for mcdonalds.

  • they wouldn't risk letting u die... that means they'll go out of business lol.

  • lol both you guys rock !!!

  • lol hihihihih dam good one

  • you have to try it.. it tastes delicious,, the best raw fish in world

  • ew i....not gonna eat that. still love my life LOL

  • The Japanese are not the only society to eat food that can kill you if not processed right. Here in America we eat Tapioca pudding and Rubarb which both will kill you if not prepared correctly.

  • Thanks for telling me that!

  • wth, i think i ate rubarb today 0.o!

  • tat's notin! homeboy!

  • what the hell...

i cannot eat that to scary..

  • i bet that is tasty, I loves fishes... hmmm.. yum.. but dat is still scary, i dont think i can eat it..

  • lol he dropped his chopsticks ....and DIED ...lol that was so dramatic

  • what is cyanite.

its like the report says he dies the day after the dinner XD

can you cook the meat to get rid of the poison?

  • I don't know what "cyanite" is. But cyanide (HCN) is a nerve poison. The fugu poison is Anhydrotetrodotoxin 4-epitetrodotoxin commonly known as tetrodotoxin. A mere 10 nanograms is a lethal dose for a mouse. It acts by blocking the conduction of nerve impulses along nerve fibers and axons. The victim eventually dies from respiratory paralysis.

  • 1000x stronger than cyanide?

    Whoa.

  • yeah...your right...id like to feel the thrill of not breathing but still being alive for the THRILL...NOT! that stuff can kill you. wow how guilty would the chef feel if someone died from eating his meal of pufferfish.. damn.

  • well how thrilling can it be to eat poisonus fish Vpy? your fucking eating.

  • why would you pay to eat poison choose another fish to eat

  • because the edible parts are so darn good

  • I eat bullets. Its more thriling.

  • he never said if the tasted was worth it

  • he dies after the vid is over lol

  • FUGUUUUU >_>

  • i agree with RA272. it's all for the thrill. the thrill of cheating death. like he/she said. why would anyone jump off a plane? why would anyone ride a mountain bike down a steep mountain? it's all for the thrill.

  • i ate pufferfish a long time ago n i died but i rit this by my ghost wwhhhhhhooooooooo!!!!!!!!

    lol

  • I've eaten puffer fish before. I'm still alive.

  • lol

  • Eat cod. It's safer.

  • and its good!~

  • they look manky fish-but WHY eat them if they are so poisonous??!! i guess its a challenge lol

  • Love the way the certified chef touches the poison part with his bare hands then the non poison parts afterwards...

  • hahahahhaha! Sorry I think i'll stick to my French/Chinese/Indian influenced

    Vietnamese food! hehehe!

  • Someday when I go to Japan, I will like to try the dish. Different cultures eat different dishes.

  • what puffer species do they eat?

  • puffer fish lol "He Tun" tried long time ago

  • Here's an interesting read on the poison at a pufferfish aquaria site-

    puffernetDOTtripodDOTcom/tetrodotoxinDOThtml

  • anyone who eats puffer fish should die. I have a puffer fish and he is one of the coolest pets to have out there.

  • lol

  • I think they are really strict on chefs who learn how to serve puffer fish.

  • When I went on my trip to tokyo, I had puffer fish. I was a bit scary at first. (My friend in tokyo who took care of us her name is naoki san) Kept on telling me stories about this fish and I ate it and survived. its actully really good!

  • The fish is carefully prepared with its posion glands/skins removed. Those who die from eating puffer usually die from improperly prepared puffer.

Also, the puffer is suppose to be tasteless, with a small amount of posion left over to give the taster a numbing, tingling sensation...

    how was it?

  • The white guy with the Japanese girlfriend seemed like an idiot to me. Smiling constantly and everything.

  • i bet she is just a translator

  • aha those puffer fishes are cute xD

  • I dont understand why alot of japanese eat stuffs that are not edible, nature designed it the way it should be,its a balance of force...or maybe they are after the thrill? odd..

  • lol. Hell if I know, man.

  • They are poisonous in specific places. It's not compleatly poisonous.

  • nature has its balance ofcouse, but knowledge can improve the odds of survival. the japanese found puffer fish's weakness so they can still eat it. maybe later puffer fish will evolve the way where the whole freaking thing is poison so the japs can't find their way to eat it by then.

  • its the same thing that happened to adam and eve. They knew what to eat, but they still chosed to eat what is forbidden,I wish japanese wont find a safe way to eat thier own shit...

  • hahahha. "eat their own shit" thats really funny. u are a funny guy man, but dun worry, looks ain't everything. but anyways. u belive in adam and eve huh? wit part of the fish being poison doesn't mean it is forbitten to eat the unpoison part of it. what makes u think that the forbidden apple can compare to the puffer fish?? btw i dun belive in adam and eve.

  • what I mean to say is we have a vast option on what to eat..what would you choose? a food with poison? or the one without poison?

  • It's done for the thrill. It's the same reason completely sane people jump out of airplanes with parachutes strapped to their backs. It's the thrill that comes with cheating death.

  • ofcouse food without poison and thats why people go to old experianced resturant to eat it becouse they know how to take the poison out. its not like they went ahead to the phamacy and get some pills to overdoes themselfs

  • wtf u talking about. American food (proccessed shit) are far worse not eatable. Human are omnivours and they are made to eat everything. I have eaten Fugu, as being Chinese, and they taste good. What I cant stand is Pizza. Nasty, fatty piece of shit that probably kill more than eating Puffer fish, dying of obesity.

  • its better to die obese than dying with poison,,,and it will be written on your tombstone "HERE LIES JOE,A MAN WHO DIED EATING A PUFFER FISH" <--- well that sounds funny

  • -here lies mercury904 who died from eating mcds evryday-

  • LOL you sure? dying obese is better than dying by a fatal poison?

Being obese is practically dying slowly. since your so fat.. you cant do shit! you cant play sports or enjoy the outdoors.

So many people become depressed due to obesity ....

and it will be writton your tombstone "HERE LIES JOE, A FAT MAN WHO DID JACK SHIT. ALL HE DID WAS EAT AND GET FAT. <--- well that sounds funnier

  • Hahahaha!
