I would say Crawdawnt. 2 things: 1. I like more Crawdawnt, and 2. Gyarados is to vulereable against electric pokemons. If you want a Wall water pokemon, choose Vaporeon.

iv experienced the same problems, its a glitch that occurs with saving after the elite four, what i did was download a SAV file in which the person already beat the elite four, i got mine from gamefaqs although gfaqs doesnt give out rom sav files directly for legal reasons, youl need to learn how to convert them, theres a function on your VBA you can use, just google it

i had the same problem but i managed to fix it

when batteling the elite four do not use pokemon like mew, mewtwo, celebi, deoxys, lugia or ho-oh

kyogre, groundon and rayquaza are ok

and also fully disable ALL cheats...

after beating elite four and wally, wally will then take you to record you into the hall of fame,

before he does that, it will automatically save your game, once it has finish saving then quickly turn off and restart your game and continue from the saved point....

once u beat the elite 4 in emerald u go on the cruise in either slateport of lilycove. there scott gives u a ticket to go to the battle frontier. hope that helps. check online faqs on how to face the frontier brains
