Never, but I'd love to. Saw some in Giza, when I've been there, but I didn't dare. Dromedaries were introduced in Northeast Brazil, desertic region, to attract tourists, but without date palms and pyramids, the effect is not the same. rockybrazil1

A great film, showing Egypt as it was. For this reason, the film wasn't well accfepted in those days, when people was used to Hollywood productions. 10.000 people worked in this magnificente film . Rockybrazil1

@molarmama5 I know, there are many, many flaws, however, is the best epic ever made. Discovery Chanel,. when shows Ancient Egypt always uses scenes of this film. And, we mustn't forget that History was written buy the scribs, very well paid by the pharaohs. So, could we trust them??? About camels, they live in the cold deserts of Central Asia. I didn't see any camel in this film; only dromedaries. Rockybrazil1

@rockybrazil1 They are called gamel, Arab pronunciation. Species Camelus dromedarius, the Arabian camel.

They are one and the same. Ever ride one? Sometimes, my camel "Daisey", would kick up a fuss around Khufu's pyramid. I think she hated it ! I had to bribe her with 20 lbs of alfalfa. TRUE!

also called "gimal" ( ג) if you look closely you can see the reason it is a side view of two legs long neck

@gyreenedoc I have not had the pleasure of studying either language. I only know exactly eleven words in Arabic, by sound. I could not read them.

My only knowledge of Hebrew is sketchy at best.

The movie was great, my only wish was that it had not starred the very beautiful but very untalented Joan Collins. Great score, thanks for posting.
