My friend wanted advice on his first guitar and amp. I suggest a squire and this device. After trying his rig myself, I am now SUPER JEALOUS. If you aren't a professional, this thing is a must. If you ARE a professional and just need something you can use to practice with and or not be loud at all this is the real deal.

Only thing it can't do is record and interface with a computer as easily as Guitar Rig (I think it can but Guitar Rig is easy enough that even I can figure it out, haha)

@loduck depends...you must enjoy and feel what you are playing. Just practice 2-3 hours a day for 3-4 years and that will be quite enough. Or you can go extreme...8 to 12 hours a day and play for 1-2 years.
