  • or somebody before cleans the pilot hole not correctly and then it's gone oversized , in my bandit the pilot screws are 3 1/4 turn out on 1st and 4 th cylinders because on pilot jet are two rubber covers and about 2,5 turn out in 2nd and 3rd cylinders, each engine have individual setting of carbs.

  • when you say 2.75 turns out do you mean you set the pilot screws (located on the fuel side) , out 2.75 turns from bottom? Or do you mean 2.75 turns out for the idle adjustment screw? I have the same bike and in the manual it says its 1.5 turns outs for the pilots screws for european models and then it doesn't list anything for the u.s. model besides that its factory preset. I've set them to 1.5 turns out. When weather changes I have to mess with the idle screw and have the worst time starting.

  • @vasylivy yes, the pilot scres, 2.75 form bottom although this might not be the greatest setting all the time. It REALLY improved idle but it may be a tad too rich. I didnt try any other setting so its hard to say if this is the best setting for mine.

  • stock mixture setting is 2.5 turns out from stop. stock idle speed is 1450 to 1500 rpm, not 1800

  • @grapes008 I know but it responds better at 2.75 with me, can differ depending on the bike. The idle had not been adjusted after the carb clean, but all is good now, really is a fun little bike

  • @chachipower yeh they are great. i had to set my mixtures to 3 turns out after installing a K&N and open pipe. as for fun, yeh wil keep up with most bigger bike on the bendy stuff. i have just found out that there is/was a 442 available for it

  • Where you get the clear signal lights?

  • @kx06 It came with my bike from previous owner, but they are all over ebay real cheap. They are just standard universal motorcycle tailights

  • sounds very nice but i think 2.75 is too rich!when it will get warm it will not work so nice..

  • @Bandit400VC It actually works fine for me, in fact it runs better after its warmed up. Much better response with this setting, although this will not be the case for all bikes, all depends on setup, geography etc. Lots fo factors, it is after all carbureted
