that's not true, the reason tigers resort to killing people is because they no longer FEAR us. When the fear is gone, they just see us as another piece of meat to hunt down. Us taking thier land has lead to this over exposure; this is also seen in bears. If a bear gets used to seeing people, they won't hesitate to tear you apart instead of running away (like they would normally do).

Another reason is because the tiger's regular prey such as hoofed animals has been taken away from them and put into farms or enclosed areas so they have to resort to hunting humans. I'm not sure if its the same with Tigers as it is with Lions but I wonder what will happen if a human were not to run and act like prey but instead turn to face the tiger and make themselves appear bigger than it.
