to all people criticising, this type of activity actually helps the animals, many parks in africa are out of money and they can't afford forest rangers to protect the park. The result is that poachers go in and kill animals indiscrimenately, hunting helps by earning great revenue, and also hunting is regulated, it's not like they go in and kill every animal they find, only a few are killed based on population studies.
Hunters and hunting actually benefit Africa’s lions & humans. Revenues in hunting generate $200 million annually in vast areas of Africa. This revenue gives wildlife value and humans protect the revenue by protecting the wildlife.
Placing African lions on Endangered List will end hunting of the animal. This leads to humans killing lions as a result of human-lion conflict.
Ending hunting in countries that currently allow it could spell the end of responsible management of lion populations.

I hunt often. I am not angry at all. True story, just this past weekend I saw a very young buck hung in a fence by his back leg at 11 pm at night. I ran home and grabbed some fencing pliers to help free the deer. I cut the barbed wire and the little guy just laid there because he was exhausted. Well it was quite cold out so I ran back home and grabbed an old blanket to keep him warm while he regained his strength. I went back to check on him in the morning.
and he was gone. So I don care for the animals I hunt, and do my best to treat them with respect and the care they deserve. I eat everything I harvest and so does my wife. Sorry you don't agree with it, but I can assure you the deer I harvest are treated more humanely than any cow, chicken or pig you buy at the supermarket.

Hunting for food, population control and protection is not only acceptable, but sometimes necessary. However, obliterating an animal for the sheer pleasure of the kill is disgusting. I hunt often. I am not angry at all. True story, just this past weekend I saw a very young buck hung in a fence by his back leg at 11 pm at night. I ran home and grabbed some fencing pliers to help free the deer. I cut the barbed wire and the little guy just laid there because he was exhausted. Well it was quite cold out so I ran back home and grabbed an old blanket to keep him warm while he regained his strength. I went back to check on him in the morning.

and he was gone. So I don care for the animals I hunt, and do my best to treat them with respect and the care they deserve. I eat everything I harvest and so does my wife. Sorry you don't agree with it, but I can assure you the deer I harvest are treated more humanely than any cow, chicken or pig you buy at the supermarket.

yeah, i disagree with any one who pulls the typical "you shouldn't kill animals for sport" thing, do you all realize humans, just like any other predator (lion, croc, bear etc.) We are all part of the earth's plan and natural order of things. Lions hunt and kill, we hunt and kill we are just blessed with more intelagence and better tool makeing skills. However i do disapprove of people who go out and kill more than they need, i strongly believe in useing as much of the animal as you posibly can
