@KatomaMundara because your confuseing acguy with zgock, acguy have sort of a mmp like weapon embeaded in their claws unlike the zgock who closely resembel the acguy mobile suit many arguably say the acguy was just a prototype for the zgock as they are essentialy the same ms, diffrence being the megaparticle cannon, now that i spat my mobile suite knowledge anyone care to answer me this, ar the rx 79 G units capable of deep sea combat (rember federation v zeon doesnt count)

The mass production type RX-79[G] "Ground Gundam" is only a Gundam by definition. You don't need to be a newtype or anything as it uses mainly the same control systems and pilot interface as a GM. The mechanics of the suit itself have been amped, this includes armor, compatibility with equipment and spare parts, mechanical stress limit and maneuverability among other things.

Basically its a GM on steroids. It was never anything extraordinary to begin with.

That in itself is exactly why, in my opinion, 08th MS Team and the MS IGLOO series are the best Gundam series out there. Its not all about newtypes and their omnipresent special mobile suits and there relationship issues. Its about the grunts who take damage and struggle to survive every engagement. Its much more interesting.

And my bad, my facts got mixed up. The RGM-79[G] "Ground GM" is actually based on the RX-79[G] and is actually more powerful (and cheaper) than the Ground Gundam. The RX-79[G] was (very) loosely based on the "Project V" and the RX-78. You can say the RX-79[G] is the very watered down grunt version of the RX-78.
