yes libya is beautiful i am a filipino working before in tripoli ive been for almost 12 years and ihave visited lots of beautiful places but the best place ive been is in ghadames climbing up the RAMLI

Libya is the best country in the world i am from zawia and i think that some idiots better stop dumping rubbish on the streets which in turn causes mosquitos and flies to be bred and so thats why in the summer there are a lot of flies and mosquito bites!!! One thing I noticed when visiting for the eclipse, was the extraordinary number of old tyres dumped along the side of the road to Jalu. Surely they could be disposed of in a better way?

Yes, it is Cheb Khaled. And he is Algerian, not Morrocan. The reason for the song is because he is singing "Biladi" and his citizenship is not the focus (and it should not be).

i agree. i remember one time someone told me that the people kind of do that as a way of rebelling against the regime...lol. but really there should be more litter bins in the towns and citys as well as a dependable garbage collecting service... i remember they used to get the garbage like two days and then a week off....dont even think of getting them to pick em up on friday or any one of the many holidays we have lol..

We cant blame it all on muammar people put it on them selves iv been everywhere in libya and it seems the problem is the people they dont care. but some of that reason is goverment as well

With Libya's oil, Libya should be looking like Kuwait or Qatar. But it looks like the video; a film of litter covering Libya's landscape. (READ THIS POST BEFORE THE ONE BEFORE IT)

We know that oil is being sold, but Gadhafi is keeping most of the Libyan people's money. None of the money goes towards the country. And a lot of money is unaccounted for. What is happening is that the money is being taken by the American companies whom most politicians in Libya are linked with in exchange for insuring Gadhafi stays in power. Its sad and its criminal.

very true...alot of people are very ignorant about this, but i have to say...for instance that picture of the old Tripoli area, that place is like nomans land, the police dont even go there because of the poverty which results in crime over there, so as well as making everything tidy, we should focus on the underlieing social/economic problems as well..just a normal libyan giving his opinion..

Great video! many people in Libya dont understand the effects of their constant littering and i believe this video is great in raising awareness for such abuse of a landscape filled with unrivelled beauty and uniquely distinct potential.
