This game is one of my best and worst gaming memories. It had so much potential. The mood, music, atmosphere and artwork was all so inspired and so congruent from one scene to the next that it almost told the story by itself. Unfortunately, there was no story for any of it to tell. It was like a mute person trying to explain a nightmare they had.

I remember this game so much... had such a great time... What I really enjoyed was the adventure side of it, the storyline and the inmersive feeling I got. The ambient design was so well done, the mansion, the outdoor stages... it was wonderfull

I played all TopGames in the World, but I remember of this Game. There ain't something compareable to Undying. The atmosphere and the Storyline was the best i ever saw in a game. A masterpiece, which many gamers didn't recognize and which will never have a sequel. A Pity. I would die for Undying 2

@petrosMgr agreed.I just reinstalled this game on a quad core geforce 9800 8 ddr2 mem pc and it freakin flies.I remember way back I hardly had the power to run this at 680X420 with a shitty vid card and min memory.They should revamp the graphics for 2011 but dont change a thing about the storyline it was perfect.

I thought it had a great ending. He probably didn't like it because it was a cliffhanger ending, because a sequel was planned to the game. It never happened because the game was a commercial failure, which is a goddamned shame, because it's an absolute masterpiece in my opinion. Best game nobody played at the time. I think it was because it came out in February, and everyone was amped up for a bunch of other games like Max Payne and GTA3, and a mediocre advertising campaign.

EA won't make a sequel because this game actually scares people. It's difficult and frightening, you need to actually try and finish it. The game won't play itself. Gamers nowadays would rather blow through some shooter with a crappy story and mediocre level design instead of experience a rich game with original design and ideas. Try the Penumbra games, and the Condemned games. But the idea of undying on the latest source engine sounds badass.

FEAR 2 is a pretty easy shooter. Headshots don't work unless they dont know your there, but its still easy. But its freaky as hell sometimes. Like the third level, your playing normally, and you find some armor and ammo on a table, you go and pick it up, and when you turn around, the little girl is right there without warning. Little things like that make it a decent shooter but a more decent horror game.

Exactly. This is without doubt the scariest game I've ever played. At least until you kill Lizbeth. For me the horrors pretty much stopped right there. I guess the haunted mansion and eerie catacombs are my week spot. Silent hill scared me as well, sadly I only played SH2 and 3 because I don't own a PlayStation.
