  • good video helpful thanks!!! ive been shoot steel shot out of my full choke for 3 duck seasons and never had anything happen so it looks like u can shoot STEEL SHOT UP BBB out of it

  • @SteppenWolfMindGame you would want to use the cylinder choke which is the most open. You dont want to use a choke smaller than the slug because it will cause too much pressure and banana open.

  • Thanks to this video I now know how to clean my shotgun.

  • i shot mine for the first time today. when i cleaned it and everything i put it back together but when i put the bigger pin in the back, the one to hold the trigger gaurd in place, it wasnt flush with the stock. i used the big one with the hole in the front and the small one ith the hole in the back and it was flush. but now its all together and my slide feels real ruff and catchy, and then when i dry fire the gun without my hand on the pump, the pump moves an inch or so back after firing. help?

  • Can I ask which choke would you shoot slug out of?

  • Nice video helpful thank you

  • I use a modified choke for all steel shot anyway.

  • My club doesn't allow 3.5" anyway (we don't need it). And I don't read manuals. I'm a guy. ;-)

  • @gr8mtn I agree, and the only thing I use 3 1/2" for is geese. The longer shell just makes enough room for the big pellets, 3" patterns better and seems to have a better shot string.

  • Nicely done. I didn't know about the magazine cap trick for pulling the pins.

  • @gr8mtn read your manual! you also shouldnt shoot 3.5" steel through the choke that comes installed did you know that?

  • @TheEmarbe actually your wrong you can shoot any kinda steel or lead you want through the stock choke

  • @duckhunter509 Dude read the book or maybe even the chokes when you use them before you get someone killed.

it says right on the side of the benelli full choke NO STEEL SHOT

and in the manual again NO STEEL SHOT on full choke.

you can even google stories of morons who never read the book or choke before using it with steel.

  • @TheEmarbe Of coarse you can shoot steel shot through a factory full choke, I don't even have to look. My Carlson's extended full choke however does state that you can shoot steel shot up to size BBB. Just to be sure I just dug out the manual. It states that you can shoot steel shot through any of the factory chokes. The stories you speak of are from the 70's, before guns were made to handle steel shot.

  • @mrfirearm wow really because mine, my cousins and my dads all say NO STEEL SHOT FULL CHOKE, all were bought within the lat two years

you're manual is wacked, mine clearly says it there too......

  • @TheEmarbe First, why is everyone all exited about me shooting steel shot through my gun, that I fully know how to operate?

The manual says "chokes marked full/imp mod are not recomended for use with steel shot." This is just a saftey procation. You cant shoot Steel shot larger than BBB through a full choke. You can shoot steel shot BBB and smaller, the manual just doesnt go into that detail. This gun is designed for waterfowl hunting, it can handle steel shot even though the manual is unclear.

  • @mrfirearm by unclear do you mean giant capital letters that spell out " DO NOT USE STEEL SHOT IN FULL CHOKE"

also google will provide you with instance where barrels have been damaged and chokes have been blown apart.....that does not sound safe to me, but if its safe enough for you please do it.

  • @TheEmarbe I know my way around a shotgun, you can use steel shot through a full choke.
