  • Cool Video...

    Spoiled? I don't think so.

    Great Police interview too.

  • I love troy!!!

  • I wish even the city of Troy, Michigan...whose public schools gave me and jenny tondera the ability to learn life our own way to explore what we needed to explore...i wish that its city council would be wise enough to just put money back into the schools if they're not sure what to do with it

  • how dare they work, be responsible, and have nice things,

    Whats wrong with these people?!!

  • Cass Corridor isn't dangerous. its nothing like it was in the 1970s and 80s. the neighborhood is now very up-and-coming. as for Troy, well, it has begun its steady journey of decline. Sure, it is a "safe" place, with "good schools" and stores. But it is severely lacking in culture, and the video shows this and also how privileged the youth are. The teacher says they are aspiring for a better life then their parents, but we all know that is quickly becoming impossible. Suburbia is dead.

  • @arikwithana Lol ya it is dangerous still, it probably will not be when they build a new stadium there but ya its run down. it was worse b4 the casino because of the projects but it still has that element.

  • i have an audi A4 but i cant drive it till i get As and Bs so for now im stuck with an ugly VW bug

  • In college and my parents live in west Troy, I would not live in the city because it has no personality, all the houses look the same, and its typical suburbia. I would love to live in the historical districts of Detroit like Sherwood Forest, Palmer Woods, Indian Village, or Boston-Edison.

  • 0:19.... coming from a guy who works in the rear of Rams Horn. Everything aside from the cops and shitty roads is pretty much what everyone complains about but really isn't true.

  • Up yours, spitfirecs420. No reason to be a jerk, man.

  • YOU live in Troy yes you are spoiled you rotten bitch come move to south warren and see how much fun you will have.

  • Hate this city with a passion.

  • City and residents of Troy accomplished it all, so they hord it!

  • This video is ok..but doesnt represent the whole city of troy...all you see there is the Westside of Troy...where you see all these multi million dollar houses..eastside of troy is nothing like that at all...

  • Yo, i went to film school in Troy. The Motion Picture Institute of Michigan, big beaver road baby...

    Love Detroit, love Michigan

  • I lived in that god forsaken city for 22 years, I'm so glad that I got my as out when I could. I know for a fact that a majority of those kids are stuck up little snots that don't know shit about life. I'm glad to be 3,000 mile away from there and I'm never going back. Later Shit hole.

  • I want to trade places with you.

  • 1. YES Linda Pavich is amazing.

    2. Troy is a cookie cut picture of what a suburban city is like.

    3. I agree with how the youth are represented in the documentary. Evan makes a good point but I fear that the 'hard working, thoughtful young people' are an endangered minority.

  • This is a good video but it offers a skewed view of the city. I particularly don't agree with how the youth are represented. There are plenty of hard working, thoughtful young people in the city. I think this should be called "Square Lake and Coolidge", because thats what it seems to represent.

  • wow 5th safest citie in the U.S. oh but we get really crimes lol what ever. go spend a day in cass corrid and then talk about real crimes that is if you make it out alive i was luck to get out of that hell hole and i will never go back. beside i am sure all they get is little 5 year old timmy stealing a candybar from walmart

  • You for one miss the good old days when only white people lived everywhere? MY GOD! that is the most racist thing I've ever heard. If you have a problem with your neighbors Christmas lights then i suggest you go and TALK TO THEM! Your ancestors are immigrants and I'm sure they faced discrimination from ignorant, intolerant mental midgets like yourself. I hope for your children's sake that you aren't passing these ideals onto them.

  • sound like a boring town

    cities are where its at!

    lol

  • zzz

  • troy down to a t. lol i hate this city.

  • I miss the Troy Hooters.... Troy is spoiled, the cops suck but the judges are kewl as hell (escpecially Judge Drury) only one cop will let u get away with murder, Joe Morgan. (Traffic Safety)

  • There is one off of big beaver and John R. and The cops are fine.

  • Cops r gay in troy...teachers r fuckin gay....the westside has all the money (TC) Eastside is not like (TA)that....GOA reppin eastside

  • I'm from the westside and I used to live on the eastside. But the houses on the west side are bigger.

  • Fascinating slice of life in Troy. Great idea. Good selection of interviews!

  • THE PROBLEM is: Huge money has been wasted on malinvestments in the US suburbs, and the DEBT is still with Us. We need to restructure and write off. Google: "restructuring america's suburban dream"

  • An exhilarating view into the not quite urban suburbs of Troy, MI, that highlights all that Troy has to offer without compromising factual integrity. Unfortunately, the most definitive component of the true Trojan experience in "The City of Tomorrow, Today" is, and always will be, the Ram's Horn. Oh, the irony...

  • oh hey, jenny

  • i think this is fabulous
