  • I find these very helpfull

  • really really good! very enlightening

  • can't help but fear the xiphoid process being fractured by accident.

  • @John4Trimmings I'd rather have them breathing and circulating blood than not performing CPR because they may fracture their xyphoid

  • just a question- I know i should probably already know this- and my best guess is log roll the patient but i'm not sure I could do that if alone without equipment- so here goes- what is the best course of action for a suspected spinal injury when vomit is seen in the mouth without suction equipment available?

  • Gleof06 it depends if you are civilian doing the CPR there are no contadictions CPR is the patients last resort whatever you have to do, do it. But if you are a medical trained person like emt or medic the only contradiction is if the victim has a dnr and then you can't. If any type of object Is in there chest and obstructs CPR remove it.

  • The CPR video i've seen, thanks

  • haloo just wanna ask what are the contraindications of CPR?? when not to do it?? e.g sucking chest wound, stab wounds at the chest or back area.. even after sealing the wound ,should we still do cpr??pls i need an answer . thanks a lot

  • thank you for the video

  • roll the patient over and give 5 back-slaps right under the shoulderblades and roll back over and proceed with CPR

  • Thanks for essential , life giving video

  • When I was eleven I had to do this to my friend until ambulance arrived i said I know CPR they said well every little bit counts so I did it till paramedics arrived.he survived.

  • I love the fact that this dummy has visible organs in the cross-section so that the trainee can actually see what the compressions are doing and which organs are affected. Very cool!

  • i nearly drowned at a water theme park when i was around 9 years old...

i didnt know how to swim and i got on one of those big slides... didnt think the water was that deep.. i only remember hitting the water an waking up confused..

i felt grateful to have been saved by lifegaurds there but... it was a guy who gave me cpr >_> was hopin it would have been a girl to give me cpr one day...

  • i have been certified and recertified 4 times and the technique has changed so many times. it used to be something like 15 compressions per breath but now they are mainly wanting just compressions. i dont care who you are im gonna use my barrier mask and give them air

  • well , very helpful show , will teach unmedical student how to perform cpr since it is lifesaving technique

we all should learn it for er cases

  • nice video...

  • oh.good.thank you much

  • As a CPR instructor I really liked the explanation of the process and physiology of the cirrculatory and respiration systems. So tragic to read the personal stories of friends and family lost....Hopefully this video will inspire people to take a CPR course...Red Cross, St. John's Ambulance, Professional Association of Dive Instructors (PADI) to name a few! Preparing people for Life! Great Video...but a course will make these steps that much easier in the event of an emergency.

  • Am I right in saying that it is 2 breaths and then 15 pumps to the chest? I think that it is slightly different for children.

  • 30 compressions for every 2 breaths for an adult. 15 compressions for every 2 breathes on an infant.

  • SO IMPORTANT FOR US TO TAKE PRACTICE

  • Man, I have CPR class in the morning, and every demo helps!

  • I'm a BLS instructor, good that this type of video is posted. Making cpr more common knowledge is vital. Too bad it is just a promo.

  • I just lost one of my classmated today at our local lake. We were good friends but i wasnt their when he drowned. I just found out about it an hour ago on facebook. He was under water for 30mn and nobody could get him out because he was to muscular and big, until helped arrived. Now im trying to learn cpr unless another of my friends drowns. RIP FORT

  • @loverofmusic702 God bless his family. He'll be greatly missed by Classical..

  • CPR

  • I am a certified lifeguard and EMT-B. Thank you for posting this up. It's good to know that the general public is informed about basic life saving tips until we arive. Thanks again. For everyone else, it is best to watch the full video! This is just a small part!

  • what's the plastic bag vor?

  • @Fallschirmjaeger963

It's a protective barrier that keeps pathogens from transfering from mouth to mouth. Treat all boldy fluids (blood, vomit, urine, etc) as contaminated and you don't want to touch. Good stuff.

  • @Fallschirmjaeger963

Its a barrier to protect yourself from the nasty stuff the person you're trying to save might have. They sell single use ones for your keychains and what not.

  • what a good dummy, you can clearly see how you are helping the heart and lungs.

  • Everybody have to know this procedure, You can save lives!.

  • @karenseguier yeah i saved my grandma

  • you have to push very hard I see :S

  • @yaskoc No, it's actually a lot easier apparently in a real person than on these mannequins. Also the head tilt-chin lift when claring the airway is easier in a real person, or so I was told during training.

  • This is a good useful learn from him

  • theese dummies are likme £800

  • I want that manikin!! So cool

  • do you know where to find that particular mannequin?

  • NICKASHWA

i am so sorry that happened, shock affects people differently and when presented with a situation, people react as best they can, sometimes with fatal results. Just two breathes and things might have been different, but we dont live in a world of its and buts. please look after yourself and monitor yourself for PTSS and so on. Once again i am so sorry for your loss, but remember to spread the word about first aid and its importance . it can make a difference

  • I lost a friend yesterday. He drowned and when they picked him out he had stopped breathing with his pulse slowing down, the guys accompanying him panicked and were more focused on getting him to a hospital rather than giving him a cpr, how i wish they had the presence of mind to do just that.

  • @NICKASHWA /I TELL YOU...I KNOW HOW TO DO A C.P.R ,BUT I NEVER DID BEFORE....EVEN WITHOUT EXPERIENCE I WOULD DO A C.P.R IF SOMEBODY NEEDED.SORRY FOR YOU FRIEND.

  • @NICKASHWA i feel sorry for him. maybe it's his time to go already.

  • where is the full version??

  • @natasha2006k on our website

  • if their is vomit, do finger swipes with your index finger to clear the throat as many times as it takes. then continue cpr

  • @thetechnoPIMP Guidelines clearly state you only do finger swipes if food is visible in the top part of the throat. If you have to dig down the throat to get at food or vomit, then you DON'T attempt removal. You do chest compressions, which will hopefully propel vomit/food into the mouth cavity, then you remove. YOU NEVER dig into the throat, you can push vomit/food further down

  • what if there's a vomit in the mouth ??

how do i get it out??

  • The answer to that is in the full version ;)

  • You would have to move the body into a lateral position (on the side) and use your hands to clear the mouth of debris. Of course, if there is a danger of a neck injury then you will need to ensure it is secure throughout this procedure.

  • we have learnt in our first aid course that you have to remove it with your fingers...you have gloves on, so rotate head and using index and middle finnger clear the mouth content, then initiate CPR, main thing you make sure that no vomit is going into lungs

  • If the person doesn't breathe, and you see that there's vomit in his mouth, then you have to take your index and middle finger and whipe the mouth (DO NOT PUT FINGERS IN THROAT JUST MOUTH, not like thetechnoPIMP said) with circular motions, then position the patient on the side as you would learn in a first aid coarse, then check if he's breathing. If not, put him on his back again and check mouth again. If there's more, do it again. If there's nothing in his mouth, do CPR at once.

  • @tapibaho turn them on their side. to do this roll them away from u, bring the bottom arm up so that they are laying on their shoulder (as if they were doing sidestroke), when u turn them support the head as well. once on side clear the vomit out of mouth with a gloved finger. the end

  • @tapibaho u make the man lean to the side open his mouth and remove it with using two fingers ( this is what i was taught )

  • @tapibaho well i assume you already found out but I can tell you anyways put them in the recovery position (on their side) tilt there head downwards and scoop out the vomit.

  • Turn them to the side and wipe it out as best as you can with your finger

  • @tapibaho

    There won't be.

But if there is you put them in the recovery position and sweep it out with your fingers then continue with cpr.

  • @tapibaho

if there is no trauma to the head, neck, or spine, turn them to their side (recovery position) and let that stuff out!!! Or suctioning is always nice

  • @tapibaho

Suction if you have it. If there is no suspected trauma to the head, neck, or spine, roll them on their side (recovery position) and let that junk out!!!

  • @tapibaho you have to remove all the obstruction that could block the air :D befre you do CPR :D

  • @tapibaho you roll the victim to his side so the vomit does not block his airway and with two fingers you sweep it out.

  • @tapibaho make him lie on his left side. BUT! do not do this if there is suspected neck or spinal cord injury :)

  • @tapibaho it should be suctioned out.

  • @tapibaho you scoop it out with ur fingers no joke

  • @RagingOblivion yep.thats true. but there are techniques in doing it:)

  • @tapibaho what does it matter?

Would you want someone to not do CPR on you if you had vomit covering you're mouth but were dying?

  • @DaBlackOrihime Well, if they had vomit in their mouth and then started breathing on their own, they could breath it into their airway and start choking - I would think it'd be better to try to get most of it out before doing CPR but I'm not certified so I don't really know. I think the original poster wanted to know for safety reasons IMO.

  • @tapibaho put them on there side in recovery position. This position helps clear the airway passage

  • @tapibaho its called suction my friend

  • @tapibaho---You can roll the patient onto their side and clear the airway, or you can use suction equipment if properly trained in it's use.

  • @tapibaho Im a Dental professional currently undertaking a FACE course. To clear vomit: Tilt head back and open mouth using the palm and 2 finger method. Next if vomit is visible; tilt the head to one side which should begin to drain some of the vomit from the oral cavity. Failing this, im afraid you may be required to use a one finger sweep method which ushers the vomit out. The most important thing is to crack on with CPR 30 compressions to 2 breaths. Continue until professionals take over

  • @tapibaho

turn them on side in recovery position.

  • @tapibaho

You get it out the best possible way with finger. be careful. then again mouth to mouth. if not possible go mouth to nose. but always get the vomit out as best as you can. if you are not up to the job keep heart massage to help arrives.

  • @tapibaho if theres vomit in the mouth jas turn the casualty sideways n use finger sweep to wipe out the vomit

  • @tapibaho you lay the person to their side ... knee on top ( CPR certified )

  • @tapibaho you than use the silvester technique where you pull his arms up and pressure him in from his pelvic region upwards to yourself, or you put him on his belly and press between his shoulder pads but i would recommend using the silvester method

  • @tapibaho tilt the head to the side

  • @tapibaho turn the person on their side and pull the chin down and the mouth should open, the vomit should then drain out, once drained roll them on to their back and open the airway, use a face sheild/pocket mask when giving rescue breaths if possible.Have a face shield & nitrile gloves with you at all times you can buy a personal protection pouch with these items in for a small amount of money. Also you can do a finger sweep of the mouth to clear the vomit but it's not pleasant

  • @tapibaho place the person to the side ,to prevent aspiration !!!

  • @tapibaho turn them on their side

  • @tapibaho use your fingers to scoop out what you can an roll them over so they don't choke on it.

  • Gosh, I'm gonna do this on Biology class. Thanks for the vid, it's really helpful!!!

Let's go kiss some life XD.
