For a great many years the schools are getting worse, the students are coming out of school dumber, and when is the last time you picked up a textbook? Half of the history they are taught are lies, much of history they aren't taught at all; science is hearsay at best, math is largely moot, literature is frivolous and useless, need I even bother with electives? It's like the kids are just doing time. And it's been this way for over 50 years; a whole lot of Americans with heads full of nothing.
Allowing the people to have their money and send their children to schools at their discretion through careful research and selection would provide for a far greater education for the child because schools would literally have to compete for their attendance. As a private entity those schools could partake in the economy and the community. And no longer would the childless be forced to pay for things they don't use, nor would a person who decides to private school their kids have to pay twice.
Public education is quite simply put a scam, public education takes your children, teaches them trivial knowledge and wastes the first 18 years of their life while teaching them liberal doctrine, such as global warming, evolution, etc. and forcing the children to lick the boots of authoritarian madmen. Public works actually destroy wealth two fold, wherein city employees first take their wages from the productive community through confiscatory taxation, then do projects which the private sector should have.

Neither do teachers, principals, city and state administrators etc. Government should NEVER control a market but it can play a role in helping stimulate an economy in a down period. For example, the private sector has made millions off of government contracts. Are you suggesting that police, teachers etc are not productive? Should we get rid of them?

Teachers should be gotten rid of, as public servants, immediately. The police, no.
