Hey, I was just watching you video blog about going to see Miyavi in concert. I actually saw him a couple weeks ago myself but here in the states.
You said you've been to a concert in the states too?
I was wondering if you could help me? Me and my friend are doing a panel on Japanese Music for Otakon and I'm doing a section on the differences in concerts Japan vs. America.
Was there anything you could point out that was noticably different in the experiences?
Im going to the Miyavi concert in Chicago on the 23rd and Im so excited about it!!! Its my first J-Rock concert!!! What better way to pop my J-Rock concert cherry, then to rock it out with MYV right?? LOL ...After hearing your experience at one of his lives, I am now 10 times more excited about it!!!
So you live in Japan? How cool!!! What is it really like there?
@redheadvixen23 Have fun! He puts on a great show! I don't know how he had so much energy!
Yep, I live in Japan, I'm an exchange stuent here. Its really interesting. Kinda like the US but everyone speaks japanese and does things slightly different.
@lunamielstar He does indeed have alot of energy!!! LOL That night was crazy too because there was a wicked storm that came through and they called a tornado watch. Miyavi came out and said that he couldn't rock out as hard, due to a stiff neck..but honestly if thats his "not rocking out as much" I would love to see what hes like when he doesn,t have neck issues!!! Thanks I had a great time. I discovered that I can scream 3 octaves higher than I thought I could!!! ha ha.
@redheadvixen23 Yey!! Sounds like he did a good job! His english is so much better now! Seriously his energy is amazing. I don't know how he kept it up for so long. I was just in the crowd and I was tired far before the end. lol
@lunamielstar yeah there were quite a few people there.I was worried about that too cuz when I got my tickets there were like 360 tix left. When the concert started though, I wanna say there was a good 200-250 people there. It was the House of Blues so it pretty packed but you still had some room to move ya know? I hope he does come back!!! If he does I will definatly be there!! Now X-Japan is playing at Lalapalooza this year in August and I really would like to go. The tix are $90,we shall see.
