Although the version Taratino uses/samples may not be from this but from a further tune that can be considered a 4th version! A 'chase' scene version of the main theme of 'La Polizia ha le mani legate' - 1975 . Not sure which now! One can see a musical stylistic theme running through these Cop movies - and then on into Tentacles!

Also the version here was used/sampled by Tarantino during the final chase in 'Death Proof', although used far too briefly.

This not the version used in "Tentacoli" (Tentacles', 1977) - the recording playing here is from 'La Polizia Sta a Guardare' (The Great Kidnapping, 1973) - but they are definitely just different versions of the same tune - all nearly identical lengths as well. The Tentacles version has more of a quality upbeat disco vibe. Indeed one can also find a 3rd version (or 2nd chronologically) used for 'La Polizia ha le mani legate' (1975). They are all different takes on a theme, but all equally great!

This music is Stelvios soundtrack for another movie, "La polizia sta a guardare". Im wondering if this piece of music is actually used in Tentacoli, or if the guy who posted it got it wrong. Or maybe the music is used in both movies.

It's a bit similar upon further listening to the one in Tentacles, in fact it's practically a slower version, but the recording in Tentacles is a bit faster.

@saveriope Not quite wrong, i have the original vinyl version of this and the song is a different mix in both movies. Check the song Too Risky A Day For A Regatta in the related video. Cheers.
