I love this film - not typical Horror movie with interesting storyline but I hate only one typical clitche - stupid blonde as leading actress. She was the most annoying in the whole cast. All others were great. In some parts this film reminded me The Ruins, Reeker, Cabin Fever, some episodes from The X Files and the final snene was very similar to High Tension's final scene. Anyway Shrooms is awesome and so underrated movie

All the movie is doing is putting images that would be horrible under the influence which is why some people think its a bad movie either because they haven't done mushrooms are just think thats why drugs are bad or they have and see it in the way as if people are just hallucinating horrible stuff when it's really looking at the intensity that mush can create to a point where they can't handle it leaving them to respond to relatively unconscious actoins

This movie was really good and ridiculously scary, specially when it comes to the ending because unlike other movies it's definitely unexpected. The message is not drugs are bad...or if you do shrooms you're going to kill people, you have to see past that. When under the influence you do get a really intense/sketchy feeling which is all the psilocybin going through your body and what the movie is basically doing is showing you from a perspective where a person is unable to control their actions

I highly doubt anyone involved in the project thought they made an award winning film. Take for what it's worth. An hour and a half of somewhat trippy special effects to mess with the viewers head (If they are high themselves).
