The content is so random, and not very rhapsodic because it does not intergrate the main theme in each mood change, although it does not have to be a strict variation rhapsodies usually have so theme to tie it all together, i really like it just trying to be constructive, and also i would recommend not using the pick on the nylon strings it makes you tone less responsive and duller.

He's using a classical guitar, so yes it does have a shorter fretboard. It also uses nylon wound strings, which produce a softer tone (and are much easier on the fingers I find.)
