This was covered in various online newspapers, Brokaw was actually quoting a very OLD poll from months ago. It was incredibly deceptive to throw it out like it was a recent poll and he was criticized for it by many other journalists. He's a long time friend of McCain and has shown an obvious BIAS during the campaign. Hence his performance in the debate, allowing McCain to talk-talk-talk, but telling Obama 6 or 7 times to watch the clock, even though his answers were shorter than McCain's.

Brokaw is and has been a Republican tool. His objective journalism ended after Nixon's resignation; the new right wing Brokaw emerged with the Carter administration, apexed with Clinton and finds resurgence with his trying to fill Tim Russett's shoes. Remember when Fred Thompson criticized the "liberal media elites" and the crowd pointed to the NBC press box and chanted "NBC!" at the pub convention? Later we discover Browcaw was lobbying for Olberman & Matthews to be removed as anchors. It was a concerted effort by the pubs and their inside man. Pubs got their critics muzzled and Brokaw got his job at MTP. Coincidence? NBC has a RAT problem.

Brokaw is an embarassment and refuses to accept that McCain is a disaster.

BTW, the poll he cites is a 2-week old poll released just after the RNC Convention...NBC released a new poll and there was NO MENTION of the "Commander-in-chief" but DID show new results with Obama beating McCain in ALL categories!
