Idiots. Ron Paul is absolutely right. Pumping more Government money into health care will only increase prices and decrease value. Prices will only drop once the Government money stops flowing in and there is an over-supply of medical professionals, medicine, equiptment, etc.

The issue wasn't so much about the "quality", it was the "price" and "availability". The price would go higher because availability will also go higher, but that would degrade the quality a little. In exchange of covering millions of uninsured Americans with healthcare they need to survive. RETARD

@kevin4209 It's not supposed to decrease the price right away. If you listen to what was said the time frame was over a period of 10 years. My guess: like many others your mind is made up before you hit the issue. So you wouldn't had supported under no circumstance anyways. It just turns out that in principle that's how all insurance work private and public. People put money into an account and then they take it out to cover a member who gets sick. They don't take it out of their own pockets.

@kevin4209 I can kind of see that rationale, however medical care in the US is already the most expensive in the world as it exists now. In Canada where we have socialized medicine costs are much more effectively controlled because there is no profit factor. Also, we have retired Americans coming to Canada to get their medications because the prices are a fraction of American prices. (On a personal note, I dont even use the healthcare system and havent been to a doctor in 23 years.)
