Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
Idiots. Ron Paul is absolutely right. Pumping more Government money into health care will only increase prices and decrease value. Prices will only drop once the Government money stops flowing in and there is an over-supply of medical professionals, medicine, equiptment, etc.
@kevin4209 And this supply of professionals comes from where? with whose money? Is America going to produce them or will America continue to steal them from other countries with a for profit system, the last for profit medical system left on the planet BTW.
@aztecking21122012 America is the top dog and the world's policeman. A nasty job but someone has to do it. Would we rather have China, or Russia, or Spain or how about India? Reality is that USA is the predestined leader. It's a mixed bag, take the bad with the good.
As for the medical system, it rots. it's called pseudo-science, allotropic medicine. Doesn't work at any price.
@PeterAppleseed What an arrogant self centered statement that only an complete idiot would make, are you totally uneducated or what? The worlds policemen, NEVER, NOT ONCE has America been the worlds police NEVER, IT HAS NOT EVER HAPPENED! You Americans keep saying you are, but it always has been and allways will be an out an out lie! You have no Medical System at all, what fucking planet are you on anyway?
@aztecking21122012 If you believe most Americans think that way, you too are being fooled. You're making stereotypes based on one person's comment and you're directing it at all Americans; that is the move of a very uneducated person. You are being swayed by the way Americans are portrayed in the media & apparently fail to see that most Americans don't believe what this ignoramus below says about being the world's police. The vast majority of Americans are against the wars and against American
@aztecking21122012 involvement overseas. We simply are not represented by a tyrannical gov't that claims Democracy and Capitalism but really the government has been involved in the failed economy, the failure of the health care system, the failure of the education system etc. This is BECAUSE of gov't involvement not despite it. People who make statements that classify millions of people into one believe system or one attitude (ex: "Typical asshole American you are") are collectivists who don't
@aztecking21122012 See people as individuals but rather as groups which is the basis for much of the hatred and ignorance and racism in the world. Please educate yourself on the American people, which is very separate from the American gov't. If you replaced American with some other country so many people would be crying racism or hate speech but hate against Americans is accepted. America, the world's scapegoat. Our gov't earned that tag for good reason but most of the citizens did not.
@PeterAppleseed Where in the constitution was America designated world police? The citizens of this country are being bankrupted to fund this outrageous military presence around the world, meanwhile America isn't even protecting it's own borders. WHY should America be involved in the rest of the world? We aren't promoting Democracy because we align ourselves with many dictatorships throughout the world while claiming to promote Democracy in Iraq, it makes no sense.
@JennRighter Yet it isn't as simple as referring to what is literal in the Constitution. There was a lot implied. And the Manifest Destiny westward expansion was an example of this.
What about the slogan of the Statue of Liberty?
Because we used the nuclear warfare, we became the world police officer.
@kevin4209 Of course it would increase prices and decrease value, it wouldn't be an exclusive medical care for the rich elite anymore, any black dude from a ghetto can have his knee sewn in a hospital. The issue wasn't so much about the "quality", it was the "price" and "availability". The price would go higher because availability will also go higher, but that would degrade the quality a little. In exchange of covering millions of uninsured Americans with healthcare they need to survive. RETARD
@kevin4209 It's not supposed to decrease the price right away. If you listen to what was said the time frame was over a period of 10 years. My guess: like many others your mind is made up before you hit the issue. So you wouldn't had supported under no circumstance anyways. It just turns out that in principle that's how all insurance work private and public. People put money into an account and then they take it out to cover a member who gets sick. They don't take it out of their own pockets.
@kevin4209 I can kind of see that rationale, however medical care in the US is already the most expensive in the world as it exists now. In Canada where we have socialized medicine costs are much more effectively controlled because there is no profit factor. Also, we have retired Americans coming to Canada to get their medications because the prices are a fraction of American prices. (On a personal note, I dont even use the healthcare system and havent been to a doctor in 23 years.)
@MasterEy1 actually i lived in Greece 2.5 years, and many other places. As a child my father was a member of US air force.
the cap is one of my favorites. the color is neutral and functions well in rain conditions. this man looks very natural in it. i see now when i was his age i looked very much the same.
So are you saying that taking by force money and property from those who earned it and giving it to those who haven't earned it is fair?????
Free Market economics is that transformed this nation in to the most prosperous nation on earth. Freedom and capitalism has brought more people out of poverty than any other economic or governmental system ever devised by man. Capitalism isn't the cause of our problems now. It is socialism, corporatism and government corruption.
@AlbaGoBragh true that capitalism made usa a grate nation, but at the cost of weaker nations in africa and other places. I do not say that socialism is the true way or that capitalism is all bad, but it is a survival of the fittest system. So if a person get allot of money it meens he get power and welfare, while the small guy, who works for him get shitt.
Is it right that if you are better with money then the others, then your life should be better then theirs? we are in this world together
That is ridiculous. Our capitalism did not cause Africa to suffer. Africa is suffering because they are under oppressive governments. If they were free and practices free market principles they would be our competitors but their governments hold them down.
Capitalism is NOT the exploitation of the poor, it is the solution to poverty.
