I love this game as well, and I am more of a college guy. I wish they would come out with the college version, but this version sold so poorly I doubt that they will.
I don't know what kind of plays you run, but run the ball much more than you pass, and you'll find that you throw much less interceptions. Key is having at the very least, a decent tail-back.
my team pass offense sucks, my QB rating is 36.3, his pass cpt. is 42% and hass 6 passing tds but 13 intercpetions, the only way i win is running tha ball wit jamal lewis, and some rookie i picked up in the 4th round, but my deffense is alsome
usually the main reason is that the game could be scratched and wont read it. i had trouble with that as well, but it worked fine on another ps2 that i had. it's either the game or the consule-you never know really.
You'll want your first string to get the most reps, since it is they that will on the field for the longest amount of time. But if your first string screw up, you'll want your back-up players ready. So It's usually 1st string 5 times, 2nd string 3 times, and 3rd string 2 times. But I only do something like '1st vs 1st' or '2nd vs 2nd' etc. twice every session. Other times it can be 1st vs 3rd, 2nd vs 1st etc etc. Hope that helps
At least you had the Bears, that was one step in the right direction. :p I had T.O. and Joe Jurevicious (spelling?) for my wideouts and Vince Young at QB, team went undefeated, won the Superbowl, and started the second season at 10-0 before I got tired of the game, lol.
09 version is better

No, you coach the players, not control them. You can influence their morale and other stuff like that though...

I have this for ps2. The only problem is that there are way too many interceptions, but the game is incredibly in depth, and the draft is fun

Just coach, if you want to use the players, go play Madden. In this game, you pretty much do everything BUT use the individual players.
