bands like dinosaur jr and j mascis solo project are some of the last fosils of the golden rock era 1985-1995 just between the crapy disco music and the fucking lemmonheads like blur and oasis

i guess we´ll never see something like the revolution from the 60´s and the sarcasm from the 85-95 era

@QingLong90 Ha. Nirvana is not overrated. Not by a long shot. True, "Teen Spirit" is grossly overplayed and wrongly held as a banner by the radio-listening, mouth-breathing masses, but only because that is ONE HELL of a song.

Besides, I'd say Nirvana was more of a punk band than a grunge band, so in my mind it's apples and oranges.

In Utero I would definitely admit as grunge. Listen to early Pearl Jam, Mother Love Bone, or Soundgarden. That's grunge, and waaaay different from what Nirvana was doing.
