  • I work at a Pizza Hut Express. I have a coworker who is Italian, she loves the alfredo pasta but wont touch the lasagna cuz she says the sauce isn't authentic. The only way your going to get authentic is if you make it yourself or go to Italy or something. Everything in America is pre-processed. Every restaurant gets their food frozen or canned or in a bag. Pizza Hut is no acception. Its true it all comes frozen and we thaw it out. Its still delicious. Nothin to get worked up over folks.

  • yes I spelled ricotta wrong.. thank for correcting my spelling. and your are also correct in another statement. I should never be trusted with Italian cuisine. Guess it's a good thing pizza hut is about as far from Italian cuisine as a person can get. I dont know anything about Italy, but I do know how that pasta is made. It is a frozen dinner. While you are spell checking comments how about going for MaLv0c They ordered "sum" pasta to.

  • Keep in mind, there is a world of difference between Mexicans and Mexican-Americans. Just thought I'd point that out.

  • That was probably the dumbest comment of the day. World of difference? WTF are YOU smoking bro? A VERY LARGE % of the Population I am referring to that frequents Taco Bell are MEXICANS. Born there. The rest of their family STILL lives there. I am not referring to Chicanos. I'm talking about Mexicans. You will see landscaping trucks with 8 Mexicans pull into Taco Bell on Baseline Rd. in Tempe....they may not even be citizens

  • You missed my point entirely.....I was not talking about Arizona, I was talking about Mexico. Taco Bell has not done well in Mexico, they failed after their first attempt there, and they're just now trying it again for the second time, which might fail again.

Yes Taco Bell does very well in Arizona and elsewhere in the nation....you're right about that, but I've been to Mexico, and they generally don't take American sentiment or culture very well.

  • I think buildiing a Pizza Hut in Italy is about as futile as a Panda Express in China or a Taco Bell in Mexico. People in those countries would think they're all American cuisine.

  • Roll that beautiful bean footage

  • Italian Guy pointing: nnnooooooo.

    LOL

  • WOW!

    I'm drooling!

  • I have had the lasagna several times. I will admit that I like it. Those of you who have mentioned that it is not real. the cheese is real cheese, its rigotta. but if you think it tasted like a frozen dinner. IT IS... The noodles come in frozen preformed around the rigotta. the sauce is frozen, then thawed, ran through the oven and kept in a warmer until it is needed. it is then put over the noodles and ran through the oven. This video is why they don't pay worth their food prices.

  • its actually really good pasta, i ordered sum a while back it was really good. i just ordered more today =]

  • Hmm, they said they used the pizza hut ovens, that's fine, but they never said they actually made it with the same sort of ingredients (I imagine it being hard to get chemically cheese flavored fat in Italy) or even with the same recipe. They might have just made an actually eatable lasagna

  • @postmortum132 GTFO hater!

  • maybe the fakest commercial ever

  • if wops go for this stuff, maybe i should give it a shot.

  • Don't bother, I had one last night, and it wasn't that great. It ws edible, but nothing special. If Romans were fooled by this, then they must be idiots. 1:57 "It reminds me of my mom's." Mom must not be a good cook. 1:59 "Really good!" Really a liar. 2:00 "It's vivacious." She doesnt understand the definition of vivacious. 2:02 " Superb lasagna, well put together." Superb must be short for "Super bullshit". Must be a lot of short busses in Rome.

  • @st8pl8guy The lasagna was that great. It is special.

  • Carnies and rubes Fezzie, carnies and rubes.

  • 2:06 the dude in the bottom left corner points out and he's like "noooooo"

  • part of all of this is the expectations of the people - if you're in a fine restaurant, you will expect and often anticipate fine food - so of course, they said it was good . . .

If you go to a cooking class, the last thing you're going to do is tell your teacher that their dish sucks . . . so this is not a very "scientific" taste test . . . where's the control group?? The lasagna's not bad - but I've had better!

  • franceschino visual SUPERSTAR! sei il migliore amico miooooooooooooooooooooo

  • i know the delivery guy!

  • oh PLEASE! Like Italians have any better palates than anyone else! Show me some top chefs who think it's excellent.

  • Well, they would know if it was the same recipe as their native dish. It obviously isn't even close!

  • I am an Italian-American but I work with many native born Italians. We may think this is funny. They are outraged. They want the Italian government to sue Pizza Hut. Italians take their food very seriously. They would NEVER think Pizza Hut swill was real Italian food. The customers were well paid actors too (and not even Italian).

  • i'm happy italians are upset, as they rightfully should be, but in this case the italians weren't actors, but of a particular demographic they had to target in order to get praise for the... questionable food

  • Its Big Business trying to Hit the little Guy out of Business And Make a common American Mockery of an Indigenous peoples Food Typical of the Business world. Then again "Its Nothing Personal Its Strictly Business"

  • "We went to Rome Italy--actually, no we didn't, we're in Utah! Gotcha!"

Ohhh Pizza Hut! You fooled me again! *giggle*

  • FAKE and RIDICULOUS....pizza hut crappiest food ever

  • this is awesome.

  • Lol @ 2:06

    Noooooooo!

Pizza Hut is scary. I'd be angry if I found out they were taping me eating lasagna. D:

  • It's such a fake. The length these people would go to sell their crap. No Italians would actually fall for that trashy food; these are all actors. Their commercial is so misleading, there should be a law to protect the consumers. No wonder most Americans are fat.

  • Im eating it right now, it taste like those $10 frozen lasagna you nuke in the microwave.

  • The scene outside of the restaurant looks like the outside of the Portofino Bay hotel at Universal Studios in Orlando. My wife says Rome is not that clean.

  • plunz just cuz you live in italy doesnt mean you dont know about things that arent in italy.... yes people are stupid but not that stupid. Its like if your some small country that somehow didnt have a mcdonalds, should you not know about mcdonalds... of course your still know about it cuz its called word of MOUTH and TV.... INTERNET also....all of those spread pizza huts name to EVERYONE no matter if your on a different planet with no restaurants!!!!

  • Lol While I agree with your point, you can't be certain that they didn't know what a Pizza Hut was since there are some in other parts of Europe where they may have traveled to or maybe they traveled to the U.S. Either way, the assumption can't really be deciphered just from the commercial. I get what you mean but it is still a smart commercial because people will believe it. Not because they are stupid but because it has been put in their memory register and they will be inclined to try it now.

  • first of all, they said the went to Italy. However, is it just me or does that girl at 2:00 look like Chloe from Smallville?

  • no dats ma girl friend ha
