@allenjalaligmail yes I am very lucky, it's the Ramber Classic 550. I finally got some time last night to work on the car, it had been sitting for 6 years or more. I squirted some oil down the cylinders, cleaned the plugs, put some fresh gas in and changed the oil and it fired right up. Video is on her, called The Rambler Lives
After dreaming about having this car for nearly 30 years, I've finally gotten my Grandmothers 66 Rambler. It's in mint condition and all original and garage kept. I do have a question though, do I need to put a lead additive in the gas when I fill up?
We had one when I was only 5.... in Iran.... It ran & ran & ran .. til the day we left Iran, in late 70s.... I went back late 2000s... and saw it again... and guess what, it was still running beautifully.... What a car....!!!!
But they are a pain in the ass to drive, the steering, the trunnions, wheel hop, no anti sway bars, seat from hell, crappy power, vacuum wipers.......why not a Nova or Mustang instead?
Very classy looking Rambler :=) My very first car was a '66 American 220 wagon, Antiqua Red, 199 six, FlashOMatic and power steering. Never had a car since that rode as smoothly as that car did. Had terrible handling especially in snow, needed radial tires and probably front end work. It would always konk out in wet weather, but I fixed it with new wires, new carb and fuel pump. Actually cried the day I sold it...I really miss that car a lot. Have a 69 Corvair now that I enjoy ...Bill
That's a great looking American, almost identical to the one we had in 1967-74 when I was a kid. Ours was a 220 too but a really pale green, almost white. Thanks for the vid!
I got A 1969 American with 232ci Typhoon engine. right now, i'm restoring a few details, but it's all original. I'll upload a vid as soon as I make that engine roar!

We used to have a navy blue one, I was very young at the time, think dad traded it in in '71, but he always talked about it.
