I have a sneaking suspicion that ben's checked out of death cab...look at all this solo stuff...it's so much better than all his writing with death cab...especially but not limited to the postal service
@hiphopsucks96 He's always been into his own projects even if they aren't just a solo act. There's Pinwheel (1996 I know before DCFC & completely diff), All Time Quarter Back ('99 & '02), The Postal Service, his solo album "Home Volume V" but it's a split LP with Andrew Kenny & his work with Jay Ferrar "One Fast Move or I'm Gone" in `09, & many more collaborations. I think he's just so musically talented that he can't keep it all in so he just writes & if no one sings it with him, he sings alone
@rlwest4 yeah, yeah, I actually own all of that stuff. and don't forget his work with dntel and styrofoam, and his song he contributed to . what I'm trying to say is that the quality of his work outside of death cab is much higher since, well...Facts.
@itsme123123hehe Ben didn't say there would be minimal guitars, he said it would be a less guitar eccentric album, meaning unlike narrow stairs (10 out of 11 songs were guitar based), not every single song would be guitar based. there will be plenty of guitars on the new album i'm sure.
@itsme123123hehe if he's playing acoustic and solo he has to use the guitar. Knowing DCFC, if they song is on the album it will sound completely different.
