hmm, i know the advantages of breastfeeding but i just dont see why mothers still do it after the child is eating solid food. Especially now that the child is older there are other ways to bond. And there should be better methods used to send a child off to sleep, not just feed it breastmilk.

It is almsot exactly how it is with me and my little bably girl when I nurse her. She is 13 Months now, and when I nurse her before bad time she flailes around like that. She also likes to play with my hear. Sometimes when she fusses a little or when she starts scratching herself I will take her hand and put it on my hair, and that comes her down.

He does have teeth and eats real food. At this point, the nursing is not so much for nutrition as for immune system benefits and bonding. I expect he will wean himself by 3 or 4 at the very latest.

Oh, I know what u mean. We went through that. Partly, I let him cry a bit, and I also gave him a bottle to soothe him. Eventually, I replaced it with a bottle of water, which he gave up pretty easily. When it was hot last week, I brought him into my bed since my room has a/c. Now he wants to join me around 3 am again but I will use the same technique.
