What is this place? And I think we should leave them in their homes too but they die out there from snakes and evil birds! D: so being kept in captivity isnt just for entertainment of our own selves its to keep them safe, too.

The main problem comes from the fact that they kill themselves in captivity. Getting bothered in the mornings (they are nocturnal animals), handled by creatures larger than itself, and getting shipped around in small cages really stresses these animals, so they bang their heads against objects in an attempt to escape, but since their skulls are so delicate they end up killing themselves. That is the primary reason why people look down upon keeping them as pets.

Dude, these primates are endangered. Heard it a couple of years ago, three years to be precise. Poor little thing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they're monkeys? Their so very cute:)

so sad they have to be in cages.... THEY ARE ENDANGERED BECAUSE OF THEIR HOMES BEING TORN DOWN AND BECAUSE PEOPLE WANNA KEEP THEM AS PETS! just don't think that they are able to be kept as pets. they are in the cage for a reason. that is a preserve to keep them away from predators and they are fed crickets every day.(ive been there and it was FUN! and i was able to feed it a dead cricket..)

I agree that an animal should be left in its natural habitat. But I also believe that all creatures, including humans, are here to benefit from one another and appreciate one another. So, I think there is nothing wrong with admiring the Tarsier. However, I do not like it when humans mess with the natural order of things and disturb the habitat because it ruins the natural way of things and the animals start dying.
