@vortex675 ---- Absolutely agree. This was a solid piece of work, if literally nothing new to those familiar with similar 'torture' films from North America. The director did his homework, for sure.

Rich society people have a secret club where they torture and murder the "pretenders" they lure into their ranks. This was also Taiwan's first slasher movie, and it proved they could make 'em as gruesome and messy and bleak as anything in the U.S. (and scored major boxoffice as a result)
