Something I recently learned is that Lockheed Martin, one of America's largest military contracting companies, who makes bombs and fighter jets and anything else that is designed to kill people, was involved in collection of our census data and scanning in the forms. So how can they explain that when they say this data is private?

majority of the people who see no problem with this probably do so because they were wanting all those damn illegals head counted ( you think THAT actually happened?) and knew that for that to happen they'd have to be counted too. I never spoke or even saw a census here.

When I asked he said that it was his boss just tracking his deliverytimes at ea house. She didn't punch in GPS when she came to my place she just asked if there were any latin americans living there like five times, the number of people living there, and then she left.

I work for the Census and there are a a significant number of people who get off on mistreating census workers, they hate government and it's the easiest way to direct that anger, the politicians wont listen, we have to go to houses. No one likes to be spied on, cameras in public are there to tape locations, not specific people. @mitch247 This was in April of 2009 He wasnt counting the people in my home. I understand the Constitution fully. He was getting a GPS reading on my front door. This had nothing to do with the count. So you tell me. What was he doing that for? He found my house just fine. The Census got to my mailbox just fine. And its on google earth.
@Travinyle1 i've done a little research and have actually talked with a few people that work for the census. The GPS guy was a worker that was simply plotting addresses into the census' data base, don't jump to conclusions yet. There is a simple reason why they have to do this, google, mapquest all have maps but are not fine tuned. sometimes when you put in an address they can be blocks and miles off of target.
@mitch247 You obviously haven't read the Constitution. It is not a mandate. The provision you refer to only says that the federal gov't CAN conduct a "headcount." It says nothing about providing any other info besides an enumeration -- as in a number. You do not have to answer any questions to any federal employee. Try reading up on some case law, specifically the 5th Amendment. The gov't cannot compel you to answer questions you do not wish to. You ever heard of liberty?

@Travinyle1 The census uses the gps points to seperate the states into districts based on how many houses are there, they also use the points to construct maps for when the workers have to visit house holds that didn't mail the questionnaire back. As mandated by the constitution they have to count everyone, even if they don't mail it back. This is for that next operation. If you mailed it back you are good, but millions don't they are just getting ready for that.

There's nothing in the Constitution that compels an individual citizen to answer questions from anyone, much less a gov't employee. If you guess nothing you'd be correct. That code is unenforceable.

I work for the US Census, and the GPS tracking he's using is to create map spots for other census workers to do a non-response followup in case they do not receive a census from your household. While I think he should have informed you what it was for and why he was doing it, he's just doing his job. If you have an issue with the government, take it up with your legislator or senator who can actually change laws, not a dude who is doing grunt work.

Property in the US has the geographical coordinates on record at the assessors office. The coordinates the worker is getting are close to your front door. This allows the census to create accurate maps with a spot at each household which has not returned the census questionnaire. In the case of dipsticks like this guy and others who have not return the questionnaire a Proxy will likely be used. YOUR NEIGHBOR will give out enough info. The India census will include photo and finger print.

Ponder the threatening statement to "Resident" (a fiction) and focus on the words "TO THE U.S. CENSUS BUREAU." Even with this statement the response is not answering questions and mailing a form. A response to the U.S. Census Bureau (another fiction) can simply be a phone call, email, or letter stating you do not want to participate, or it could be as easy as returning the mail opened or unopened. God's child must be cautious though so that he or she doesn't admit to being a "Resident."

@mitch247 This was in April of 2009 He wasnt counting the people in my home. I understand the Constitution fully. He was getting a GPS reading on my front door. This had nothing to do with the count. So you tell me. What was he doing that for? He found my house just fine. The Census got to my mailbox just fine. And its on google earth.

@Travinyle1 i've done a little research and have actually talked with a few people that work for the census. The GPS guy was a worker that was simply plotting addresses into the census' data base, don't jump to conclusions yet. There is a simple reason why they have to do this, google, mapquest all have maps but are not fine tuned. sometimes when you put in an address they can be blocks and miles off of target.

@mitch247 You obviously haven't read the Constitution. It is not a mandate. The provision you refer to only says that the federal gov't CAN conduct a "headcount." It says nothing about providing any other info besides an enumeration -- as in a number. You do not have to answer any questions to any federal employee. Try reading up on some case law, specifically the 5th Amendment. The gov't cannot compel you to answer questions you do not wish to. You ever heard of liberty?

@Travinyle1 The census uses the gps points to seperate the states into districts based on how many houses are there, they also use the points to construct maps for when the workers have to visit house holds that didn't mail the questionnaire back. As mandated by the constitution they have to count everyone, even if they don't mail it back. This is for that next operation. If you mailed it back you are good, but millions don't they are just getting ready for that.

A Census worker pushed his way into my house when no one was home except my little brother. My brother aksed him to come back when my an adult was home and he said no and walked in the house and demanded that the questions be answered. My brother couldn't answer all the questions. The guy even asked if we were white (which we are) but WTF??? They can just force their way into your home when you tell them not to come in?

@brighamwebster That US code is moot. The Constitution gives the federal gov't the authority to conduct a headcount -- that's it. There's nothing in the Constitution that compels an individual citizen to answer questions from anyone, much less a gov't employee. The code and the literature that comes with it is nothing more than a scare tactic. Ask the multitude of people who never participate and see what happened to them. If you guess nothing you'd be correct. That code is unenforceable.

I work for the US Census, and the GPS tracking he's using is to create map spots for other census workers to do a non-response followup in case they do not receive a census from your household. While I think he should have informed you what it was for and why he was doing it, he's just doing his job. If you have an issue with the government, take it up with your legislator or senator who can actually change laws, not a dude who is doing grunt work.

Property in the US has the geographical coordinates on record at the assessors office. The coordinates the worker is getting are close to your front door. This allows the census to create accurate maps with a spot at each household which has not returned the census questionnaire. In the case of dipsticks like this guy and others who have not return the questionnaire a Proxy will likely be used. YOUR NEIGHBOR will give out enough info. The India census will include photo and finger print.

No you cannot. According to United States federal laws, audio should not be used in a surreptitious manner. One example of surreptitious interception is audio in a hidden camera. This includes pinhole board cameras and all covert or hidden cameras; i.e., a clock radio. Audio in a hidden camera or board camera is only available to law enforcement agencies. Title 18, Section 2512.

Ponder the threatening statement to "Resident" (a fiction) and focus on the words "TO THE U.S. CENSUS BUREAU." Even with this statement the response is not answering questions and mailing a form. A response to the U.S. Census Bureau (another fiction) can simply be a phone call, email, or letter stating you do not want to participate, or it could be as easy as returning the mail opened or unopened. God's child must be cautious though so that he or she doesn't admit to being a "Resident."
