  • The news talent (before 1994 when it was still as a CBS affiliate): 5pm: Walter Evans, Clarice Tinsley, Mike Burger, Ted Dawson 6pm: Howard Ballou, Janice Glynn, Mike Burger, Paul Crane Nightbeat: John Criswell, Linda Edwards, Mike Burger, Ted Dawson This Morning : Dan Godwin, Ron Jackson, Tim Ryan Noon: Walter Evans, Clarice Tinsley, Larry Dingmore.

  • @shobielim No, that's all mixed up. Ballou did weekends only. Glynn did 5pm. TInsley did 6 and 10. John Criswell replaced Steve Bosch, who had replaced a string of other male anchors.

  • The 11pm newscast talent: John Criswell and Linda Edwards in the headlines, Mike Burgers' weather and sports with Ted Dawson.

  • @shobielim This is Central time zone, so KDFW didn't have an 11. The 10pm talent was Criswell and Tinsley. Linda Edwards was the noon anchor with Walter Evans.

  • The Voiceover's name is Ed O'Brien.

  • KECY-TV in El Centro, California/Yuma, Arizona used the same theme around the 1990s before ending their newscast

  • used as a CBS affiliate

  • WANE-TV in Fort Wayne used the same theme around the early 90's

  • cfcn calgary used to use the same theme!

  • God, it seems so dated now. Almost Ron Burgandy..lol.

  • He also announced for KTRK in Houston.

  • Is it just me or does Clarice have a Texas "twang"? Watching her today, it seems to have dissapeared.

  • Is Clarice Tinsley related to Cynthia Tinsley?

  • No. KXAS promos even mentioned that when Cynthia was hired. They called the 5:00 news the "Wright-Tinsley Report" (in promos only), then tagged the promo with "No Relation" written on the screen.

  • Oh okay. I am from Ohio, so I wouldn't have known about that. As I mentioned in a previous comment though, Cynthia was an anchor for WUAB in Cleveland around the mid to late-'90s.

  • Impressive music, and by 1991 standards, fairly impressive graphics/video (i.e., moving anchors). Ed O'Brien sounds great in this one.
