I skated with Ty Page in the mid 70's at a place called the resevoir.
My skate buds and I lived on 68th street in La Mesa, CA. and were known throughout the San Diego skateboard world as the the 68th Street Stoners. The Stoners by name were: Bobby Warner, Tony Vargas, Mike Ferguson, Peter Ferguson, Patrick Ferguson and Frank Mariscal.
We skated places with names like the Charcoal Bowl, La Jolla Pipeline, The Resevoir, Brookehurst Park, La Costa, to name a few.
Last Year Ty Page gave me 180 old blanks to sell made for him in 1985 that he had in his basement. A wide pool board with a Old School hole pattern. There are still @40 left so if you're interested or want more information please check out My Page for the link.
ty page is sooooooooooo not better than the z boys, he has no style, all of his tricks are just like stand straight up and balance, he could NEVER skate vert like the zboys and he has no aggression in his skating
