  • looks kind of gray for soil

  • What do you do with ocre?

  • @HectorAwol - Okra is good fried, in a gumbo and you can pickle it.

  • Cool... Thanks! Not familiar with it! Hec.

  • Nice.. I have just done a garden update recently and have uploaded it. It's a great idea. I guess it is Spring over there! Hector.

  • Good job with the garden, keep it up !

  • hey dude i like all of your videos!

  • You should make some newspaper cups and start your seeds inside to get a jump on the season. By using newspaper, you can plant the cup without disturbing the roots and the newspaper will biodegrade.

  • That certainly looks like fairly infertile soil.. very grey, almost like mud. Is it just an effect of the camera and lighting?

  • I usually do not "pull" the undesired sprout, I wait until the are 3 -4 inches tall and cut off the seeding at the base with some sissors. this eliminates disturbing the other plants.

  • fresh vid

  • yuuuuuummmmmmmmmmm

    youre just missin potatoes now

say, did you use a shovel for all that?

  • you dont have to rip one out to thin, use scissors or a knike to cut on at the ground

  • what happioned to your gun vids

  • Looking real good.

  • Man thats gonna be some goooood eating.

  • I have a question and this is for Kevin or any viewer. Does anyone have a suggestion of a book or website with good information about gardening for beginners? The other problem I have is that I live in a suburban area. I am going to try Kevins growing onions and radishes in plastic tubs but I WANT to get moving towards a more sustainable life.

  • @adams0960 the Self-Sufficientish Bible.

  • @FloydofOz Thank you. I looked it up on Amazon and it looks like a cool read.

  • @adams0960 Readers Digest put out a really good book several years ago that everyone should have and read called "Back to Basics". This book covers everything you could think of for frontier or pioneer living from how to choose and lay out your property, to how to garden on a small plot and get the most from your space available and much more. Book should be available from most book stores and aites on the web. Hope this helps you.

  • @adams0960 Scribd(dot)com has e-books available for free and for sale that cover almost any topic.

  • I did not know that about melons......

  • You're doing well, ground is still pretty cold up here in the Northwest though, but do have some stuff going in the greenhouse!

  • haha. "That 1 there is in the middle of a dog print or something". "WOLF" haha, epic timing from the dog

  • Times like this I wish I was sill in Texas. I'm still waiting for the ground to thaw!

  • cool! Bet they will look real good later on in the year! :)

  • Great Vid Man!! It's almost time 4 me 2 get out and till my garden!!

    Thumbs Up!

  • love it

  • Don't pull out the sprouts. Get a pair of small scissors and cut out the ones you don't want at the base. When you cut out the ones you don't want, then you have absolutely NO destruction of the root system of the remaining sprout that you want to keep.

  • Except for the gun ones.

  • THe garden vids are my favorites.

  • Looking good. Keep us posted.

  • you have enough room to keep 2 per hill in the melons. I hope to leave a attatchment to my garden later on.

  • Good looking garden.

  • Love those gardening vids. A skill we ALL need to know. Got to get my garden vids up.
